Today JsFitTip is all about Tiger nuts! :)
They're my absolute favorite!

If you don't know about Tiger nut's last week I dropped a dyme of information on you about them!

Tiger nuts, also known as chufa, yellow nutsedge or earth almonds, are not actually nuts, but rather edible tubers. They're the size of a chickpea but wrinkly with a chewy texture and sweet nutty flavor similar to sweet gram crackers with a coconut flavor twist!

Tiger nuts were one of the first plants cultivated in Egypt and are traditionally used as both food and medicine.

They're rich in a variety of nutrients and have been linked to several health benefits ranging from better digestion, maintaining a healthy blood sugar, and they reduce your risk of heart disease.
They're rich in:

* Vitamin E: 278% of the daily value (DV)
* Iron: 13-40% of the DV
* Phosphorus: 9-11% of the DV
* Vitamin C: 2-8% of the DV
* Magnesium: 7% of the DV
* Zinc: 5-7% of the DV
* Potassium: 3-5% of the DV
* Calcium: 1% of the DV

They are also anti inflammatory. A natural aphrodisiac. Are the miracle in better gut health. And.. they boost your immune function. This week I wanna give you a quick recipe for my secret Tigernut Flour Flax 3 Ingredient Flatbread!

Don't tell anyone. ;)
Here it is.

Ingredients / Directions:

1.) Mix 3 Flax eggs. = 3 TSP of Ground Golden Flax Meal and 7 TSP of water.
Put in fridge for 20 mins until gelded.

2.) Melt 3 TSP of melted Ghee Butter.

3.) About 3/4 cups Pamela's Tigernut Flour (I get mines from Sprouts)

4.) Mix together all ingredients and chill in fridge for 30 mins.

5.) Pre heat oven at 350/375.

6.) Grease baking dish. Add dough mixture and press down to your desired flatbread inch. Brush with melted Ghee butter.

7.) Bake for 35 to 40 mins until golden brown.

Remove and let cool! Then say Bam! I just made love in my kitchen! And serve. I like to add braised pears to mines with a touch of my homemade Macadamia nut butter!
