Dear Dad,

Today you asked me if I was OK and I honestly didn't know what to say .. I didn't want to ruin your Father's Day but deep down inside I wanted to cry.. I wanted to cry just because you're the perfect father in my eyes.

When I was very ill.. I can remember the day I wanted to give up because I was tired of fighting for my life. I told you I couldn't do it anymore. And as always .. you told me how much you were proud of me, and that made me wanna fight for my life down to my core.

I began to fight harder because I never saw you give up on us or anything.. no matter the situation or circumstance. You've never turned your back on us, you just simply gave us a chance. A chance to grow.

I remember watching you fight for your life when you were in the hospital in ICU.. with a bleed in your brain. You walked out of there quick and healthy. I thought to myself.. that's a strong man!

And it let me know that if God helped you.. He would help me too. I honestly don't know where I would be without you.

You always told us to have faith and to keep the family 1st. Showing me that giving love and forgiveness would triumph over the worst!

Thank you Daddy for singing songs me when I was little until I fell asleep. For always encouraging me. And for always believing in me .. when I didn't even know how to believe in myself.

Oh and I love how you always took us for ice cream.

It was the little things.. like how you danced with us, and let me ride on your leg and play horsey. Lol!

Happy Father's Day Dad. Being you has showed me that it's ok to be me!
