Black Ex-Cop Who Killed A White Woman In Minneapolis Could Be Freed After Conviction Tossed

The Minnesota Supreme Court overturned a third-degree murder conviction of Mohamed Noor, the former Minneapolis Police officer who shot and killed Justine Ruszczyk Damond on July 15, 2017.
The court agreed with the argument from the defense that the prosecution did not prove Noor acted "without regard for human life." They also didn't provide enough evidence to support Noor was targeting Justine Damond.
