Twitter Is Threatening To Sue Meta Over New Threads App
It looks like Twitter may be facing some stiff competition.
According to reports, Twitter is threatening to sue Meta over its new text-based platform which mimics the social media giant.
On Wednesday (July 5), Instagram's parent company Meta introduced Threads, a text-based version of Instagram that resembles Twitter and other text-based social media platforms. Shortly after its launch, a lawyer for Twitter, Alex Spiro, wrote a letter to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg accusing the company of engaging in
"systematic, willful, and unlawful misappropriation of Twitter's trade secrets and other intellectual property."
