The Rodney Appleby Experience

Tune in Every 2nd Thursday 8-9 pm.

Welcome to The Rodney Appleby Experience - where we see life through the flavors

and sounds of music. Make it your purpose to tune-in and join us as we set out to

explore the mysteries and the magic of music.

In 1995, Rodney was inducted into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame. In 1992, 1993, and 1994, he was the Buffalo Music Award winner for Best Bass Player, and in 2003, for Small Jazz Band.

Before moving to Georgia in 2013, Appleby wrote, produced, and directed the musical Games performed at the Calumet Arts Caf , Gemini Dance Theatre, and Martin Luther King Park in Buffalo, NY.

He served as Just Buffalo Literary Center's Interdisciplinary Program Director in Poetry and Jazz for its jazz composers' series in the 1990s and was the music director at UJIMA Company Inc., a multi-ethnic, multi-generational theatre company, where he served as coordinator for the theatre's Dunbar Project, a youth arts workshop. He remains a key teaching artist at Ujima for the Dunbar Project to this day.
