SPORTS NEWSBodycam Shows Police Dragging NFL Star Tyreek Hill From Car During Speeding Incident
Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill was forcibly removed from his vehicle by police officers during a speeding detainment, just hours before a game on September 8. Bodycam footage surfaced showing Miami-Dade police officers aggressively handling the situation after Hill was pulled over for careless driving and a seatbelt violation near Hard Rock Stadium.
Hill became agitated when an officer knocked on his car window, telling the officer, "Hey, don't knock on my window like that." Although he provided his license and registration, the situation escalated after Hill rolled his window up and only slightly opened it when asked to lower it again. The officers then forcibly removed him from the vehicle, with one officer grabbing Hill and pulling him out, assisted by others who placed him in handcuffs.
As Hill was on the ground, he informed the officers of a recent knee surgery, but one officer made a remark, "Did you have surgery on your ears when we told you to put your window down?" Hill later expressed his concerns, stating that if he wasn't a high-profile athlete, the situation could have ended far worse.
Despite the confrontation, Hill and his teammates went on to win their game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, 20-17.
