SpotemGottem has found himself at odds with the law once again as he was taken into police custody following a high-speed chase.
According to WSVN 7, the Florida rapper (real name Nehemiah Harden) fled from officers of the Miami-Dade Police Department during a traffic stop on Tuesday (July 18), after which he was caught with illegal firearms.
The arrest form indicates that the cops noticed a Corvette with tinted windows while responding to a spike in violent crimes around NE 164 Street and NE 6th Avenue.
When they approached the SpotemGottem's car, he accelerated and drove off. While other officers were alerted about the pursuit, the 21-year-old collided with another vehicle. His car eventually gave out on him and the police caught up to him.
The "SRT" artist made one last attempt to escape on foot, finding shelter inside a nearby shed. It wasn't long before he was surrounded within an established perimeter and finally apprehended.
Upon searching his vehicle, authorities found one Glock 23 with an illegally modified automatic sear, one extended .40-caliber gun magazine with 19 rounds of ammunition and a loose .40-caliber round. Spotem did not have a concealed weapons permit and was driving with a suspended license, and is thus facing multiple charges.
In 2022, SpotemGottem was arrested in Miami after leading police on a jet ski chase through Biscayne Bay.
As reported by Action10, officers accused the rapper and alleged gang member of risking people's lives and property during the pursuit, which began near the Miami Marine Stadium in Virginia Key.
He subsequently appeared in Miami-Dade County court after spending the night in jail. Although the rapper's attorney told judge Mindy S. Glazer her client was a Midtown neighborhood resident, Glazer decided to keep him at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center for at least another day.
According to records, Harden was out on felony bond when he was arrested again, facing charges of fleeing and eluding a law enforcement officer and reckless operation of a boat.
The year prior, he was arrested by U.S. Marshals on an array of weapons charges, according to NBC 6 South Florida.
The "Beat Box" rapper was gobbled up by authorities inside a hotel room in Aventura, Florida and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and accessory after the fact to a felony. An arrest report alleges he was found on his hotel bed with an AK-47 next to him at the time of his arrest.
Police previously acquired an arrest warrant for SpotemGottem when he allegedly flashed a semi-automatic weapon out the window of a car he was riding in with friends when they broke through the gate of a Florida parking garage.
