Beyonc and Solange's uncle, the older brother of their mother Tina Knowles, has died at 77.

Ms. Tina shared a tribute to Rowland Martin 'Butch' Buyinc on Monday (February 26), revealing that he'd passed away over the weekend.

"My Beautiful big brother Butch went to be with God this weekend," she wrote with a photo of him. "I will miss him so much ! He was a career Airforce man. He loved riding Motorcycles was a black Belt in Karate and had the most beautiful green eyes and good looks. He was a great story teller."

She continued: "He had an incredible wife Jeanette and devoted daughter Dana two beautiful grandchildren Yvette and Roland. He was greatly loved. Sail on Butch [heart emojis] Rowland Martin (Butch) Buyince' June 1946 - Feb 2024 RIP"

Many fans noted in the comments the resemblance between Uncle Butch and Solange, as well as her son Julez.

Solange has, like her older sister, Beyonc , moved in a different direction for her new music.

The "Cranes in the Sky" singer sat down with Harper's Bazaar last Tuesday (February 20), and revealed where she was hoping to go with her new sound.

"The tuba," she said, when asked about what sounds she was obsessed with the most.

"I love it. I've started writing music for the tuba, and I am trying to talk myself into releasing it, but I can only imagine the eye rolls from people being like, this bitch hasn't made an album," she continued.

This wouldn't be the first time that the R&B singer would be known for shifting gears in her musical style.

Back in 2022, Solange received props from her older sister when she made her debut as a ballet composer at the New York City Ballet Fall Fashion Gala.

Beyonc took to her Instagram page to salute her younger sibling for the performance, which took place in September of that year. Solange became the first Black woman to serve as a ballet composer for the New York City Ballet, an achievement her family celebrated.

Bey shared two photos of Solange in her post, one holding two flower bouquets and another with her walking into the venue. In her caption, Beyonc made it loud and clear she'll always have her sister's back.

"My beloved sister, there are no words to express the pride and admiration I have for you," the "Break My Soul" singer wrote. "You are a visionary and one of one. Congratulations on being the first African American woman to compose for the New York City Ballet. The piece you composed is phenomenal. I love you deep. Might I suggest you don't f*** with my sis."
