Adele Reschedules Las Vegas Residency For November Following Last-Minute Cancellation In January: I Truly Was Heartbroken To Have To Cancel Them
Las Vegas can expect Adele to appear later on this year.
Recently, Adele announced new dates for her "Weekends With Adele Vegas" residency after she abruptly canceled the initial concert a day before it was supposed to take place. Adele's concert dates have been moved to November 18, 2022 through March 25, 2023. Following the 24 rescheduled shows, the singer has added eight new concerts to the line up.
On Monday (July 25) the 34-year-old took to Instagram to announce the rescheduled concert. Adele said:
"Words can't explain how ecstatic I am to finally be able to announce these rescheduled shows. I truly was heartbroken to have to cancel them."
"But after what feels like an eternity of figuring out logistics for the show that I really want to deliver, and knowing it can happen, I'm more excited than ever! Now I know for some of you it was a horrible decision on my part, and I will always be sorry for that, but I promise you it was the right one."
The British singer added:
"To be with you in such an intimate space every week has been what I've most been looking forward to and I'm going to give you the absolute best of me. Thank you for your patience, I love you, Adele."
Fans shared their excitement regarding Adele's new concert dates under her post.
Earlier this month, Adele, born Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, admitted in an interview that she didn't regret delaying the shows although her fans were upset. She said:
"I definitely felt everyone's disappointment and I was devastated, and I was frightened about letting them down. I thought I could pull it together and make it work and I couldn't, and I stand by that decision."
"I'm not going to just do a show because I have to or because people are going to be let down or because we're going to lose loads of money. I'm like, the show's not good enough."
Adele was confident in her decision to cancel the shows, but it also left her discouraged. She said:
"I was a shell of a person for a couple of months. I just had to wait it out and just grieve it, I guess, just grieve the shows and get over the guilt, but it was brutal."
"Of course I could be someone on TikTok or Instagram Live every day being like, 'I'm working on i.t' Of course I'm working on it! I'm not gonna update you if I ain't got nothing to update you with because that just leads to more disappointment."
