Diddy's Accusers Prepped For Grand Jury As Federal Investigators Signal Potential Criminal Charges

Federal investigators are gearing up to present accusers of music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs before a federal grand jury, signaling a potential indictment amid an ongoing investigation into the record executive, CNN revealed on Wednesday, May 29.

As per insider information, individuals, including those who have lodged lawsuits against Diddy, may soon be summoned to testify before a federal grand jury in New York City. This grand jury, comprising ordinary citizens, holds the authority to conduct further investigations and determine whether criminal charges should be pursued against suspects. This significant development indicates that the case has advanced beyond its initial stages.

In addition to witness testimonies, federal agents are expected to introduce additional evidence, including video footage obtained from Diddy's residences. This footage could either come from accusers or be recordings captured by investigators during the Homeland Security raids on March 25 at Diddy's multimillion-dollar estates in Los Angeles and Miami.

The raids were conducted as part of the investigation by HSI (Homeland Security Investigations), and initially centered on allegations outlined in the lawsuits. However, the case may also extend to potential involvement in sex trafficking, money laundering, and illegal drug activities.

This all comes in the wake of Diddy being the subject of eight civil lawsuits since November, seven of which directly accuse him of sexual assault.

More recently, on Thursday, May 23, April Lampros filed a lawsuit in New York accusing Diddy of sexual assault. April Lampros claimed to have endured four "terrifying sexual encounters" between 1995 and 2001, including three incidents of sexual assault and one occasion where Diddy allegedly forced her to take ecstasy. Additionally, former model Crystal McKinney filed a lawsuit in Manhattan federal court last week, alleging that the rapper also drugged and sexually assaulted her at his New York recording studio in 2003.

Diddy's ex-girlfriend, Cassie, filed the first of a series of lawsuits alleging abuse, which has been settled and partly supported by hotel surveillance footage from 2016. The footage showed the businessman punching, kicking, and throwing items at Cassie.

Although Diddy has not responded to the most recent lawsuits or commented on the ongoing investigation, back in December, after the earlier lawsuits, he took to Instagram to make a statement:

"SICKENING ALLEGATIONS HAVE BEEN MADE AGAINST ME BY INDIVIDUALS LOOKING FOR A QUICK PAYDAY. LET ME BE ABSOLUTELY CLEAR: I DID NOT DO ANY OF THE AWFUL THINGS BEING ALLEGED. I WILL FIGHT FOR MY NAME, MY FAMILY AND FOR THE TRUTH."
