GMA3 Hosts T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach Temporarily Taken Off Air Amid Romance Scandal

GMA3: What You Need To Know anchors T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach have been temporarily removed from the news show after their romantic relationship was exposed, according to reports.

ABC News president Kim Godwin reportedly told staffers that GMA anchors "will be off air while network figures out how to best handle the situation," the Wall Street Journal's Joe Flint tweeted Monday.

Godwin called their alleged workplace relationship "a distraction, but not a violation of policies," and the decision to take them out of their anchor chairs was necessary for the "GMA" brand.

Gio Benitez and Stephanie Ramos hosted Monday's broadcast, while further internal meetings will take place about how to move forward, according to WSJ.

Baller Alert recently reported on Robach and Holmes' romance scandal after pictures of the two being intimate were released to the public by the Daily Mail.

In a few photos taken by an alleged private investigator, the GMA anchors are seen holding hands in a car. In another, Holmes is grabbing Robach's butt while packing a car for what seems to be a private getaway.

Robach is married to Melrose Place vet Andrew Shue, while Holmes is married to attorney Marilee Fiebig. It is believed Holmes and Robach's romance could have begun as early as the spring - though other sources close to the anchors insist the affair began in August when they separated from their respective spouses.

Both Holmes and Robach deactivated their Instagram accounts after the photos were publicized.

The two hosts Good Morning America's third hour, titled GMA3: What You Need to Know, along with ABC News chief health and medical correspondent Jennifer Ashton. Robach and Holmes both serve as reporters for the main Good Morning America broadcast, and Robach co-anchors ABC's 20/20.

An announcement regarding if the anchors will host GMA moving forward has yet to be decided.
