Kim Kardashian & Scott Disick Sued Over Alleged Scam 'Lottery,' Company Behind The Giveaway Claims It's Legit
It looks like Kim Kardashian
and Scott Disick
are in the middle of a lawsuit!
According to reports, both Kim Kardashian
and Scott Disick
are being sued for allegedly selling a lottery giveaway but not coughing up any prizes, however, the company behind the lottery claims it is all legitimate.According to the class action lawsuit, Kim and Scott created a lottery where the winner would get $100,000 and 2, first-class tickets to L.A. The winner would also receive a 3-night stay in Beverly Hills with the opportunity to "shop like Kim Kardashian."
The lawsuit claims the 2020 lottery was a sham. Reportedly, the real purpose of the so-called lottery was for the celebrities to work with an Australian company -Curated - to sell personal information to advertisers. The Australian company is also named in the lawsuit. The suit claims winners were announced, however, the "winners" Instagram accounts were quickly made private and not everyone received their prizes.
On the contrary, sources directly connected to Curated say every winner is legitimate and has been awarded their prizes. The company says they have the appropriate paperwork to prove it. The suit claims the people who entered the contest are getting
"invaded by hundreds of advertisers, some of which are soliciting the Plaintiffs with potentially offensive and unwanted content."
The lawsuit seemingly takes a dig at the Kardashian family with the following statement:
"Just a short 20 years ago, Oprah was giving away cars and cash. But today's entertainment tycoons seem to only care about becoming richer and living an even more opulent lifestyle, while duping their fans and followers."
The suit claims the lottery was organized by Scott Disick on his Instagram page in which various influencers promoted it, including Kim, Kendall Jenner, Kris Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, and Sofia Richie.
Reportedly, the lawsuit is asking for more than $20 million from both Scott Disick and Kim Kardashian as well as the Australian company.
