Saucy Santana thinks gay people are "extra sensitive" sometimes
During a recent interview on the Bootleg Kev Podcast, Saucy Santana, 28, born Justin Harris, talked about the gay community and the things he does and doesn't find offensive as a gay black man. When asked if it's homophobic when people say 'pause' around him-a term usually said when a comment may come off as homosexual or hypersexual-Saucy Santana said,
"No, not to me. One thing about gays, gays are, sometimes we're extra sensitive because how we're looked at, and thrown to the waist side or considered bottom of the barrel..."
"Gays are always on the defense. But to me, that's not offensive.. You calling me something crazy outside my name is offensive. But 'pause' is cool."
The "Material Girl" singer then went on to reveal that he is in a relationship.
"I'm in a relationship. My n**a actually just spinned the block. We were in a relationship last year, we broke up and he spinned the block. I hopped right back in the car."
In May, Saucy Santana revealed how his sexual orientation became public to his family and loved ones.
During an interview with "Angela Yee's Lip Service" podcast, Saucy Santana shared that his cousin revealed his secret of identifying as gay. In the sit-down, Saucy Santana weighed in on the moment he realized his family knew his sexual identity. After admitting his cousin outed him, show host Angela Yee curiously followed with, "But why?"
Santana continued to dish on his experience coming out as a gay man and responded,
"'Cause you can't f*ck*ng help it."
The 28-year-old rapper discussed in further detail what led to his family finding out his kept secret at the time. He added,
"So you done ran home and told yo m*th*f*ck*ng mama. She done told her mama. Her mama and my grandma are sisters."
