When you hear the word "dark", the first thing that comes to mind is surely the opposite of light. This is not the case for the Bronx, NY native and hip-hop artist, "Darq." Darq managed to keep the light alive in a dark mind state. Since an early age, Darq had music ingrained in his soul. From break-dancing as a young boy to rocking his own shows in major cities across the country, such as, Philadelphia, Detroit, The Bay Area California, Las Vegas, Connecticut, all over the 5 boroughs of his hometown, NY, to name a few. As a teenager, Darq moved from New York, his birthplace and all he knew to an unfamiliar suburb outside of Philadelphia, PA. Being taken away from the place he loved took a lot of getting used to. Darq's never been a quitter and he used this change to expand his musical horizons. Darq infused the Bronx's raw, powerful, hip-hop background and Philly's soulful, alternative vibe and created a sound all his own. Darq keeps "the birthplace of hip-hop" close and travels back and forth, whenever he can, to record and create in the place he calls home.
Darq Raw has been featured in many different magazines. Hip-Hop Weekly, Rap Fanatic and Protege Magazines, and was on the cover of and featured in The Grynd Report Magazine Vol.7 - Darq Edition and he has 2 singles on iTunes, "R.A.W.(Risk it All Willingly)" and "RunAway" both featuring Amy Davis. He's been working with LiveNation and recently opened up for Machine Gun Kelly and Kid Ink, Freeway and Bone Thugs an Harmony at the T.L.A (Theater of the Living Arts) in Philadelphia.
