Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham Reissue Iconic 1973 Album Buckingham Nicks

Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham are set to reissue their first studio album, "Buckingham Nicks," making it available in all formats, including digital, for the first time in the U.S. since the early 1980s. This announcement comes after a week of speculation fueled by cryptic social media messages from the former Fleetwood Mac members. The album, originally released in 1973, had been a commercial failure, leading to their contract termination with Polydor Records.

The reissue will be released by Rhino High Fidelity on September 19 and will feature fresh liner notes by music journalist David Fricke, with interviews from both Nicks and Buckingham. A newly remastered edition of the single "Crying In The Night" is already available for streaming. The album can be pre-ordered in a standard edition, limited to 5,000 copies, and a deluxe edition, which includes two 7-inch singles. The remastered audio is sourced from the original analog master tapes recorded at Sound City Studios in Los Angeles.

This reissue has been anticipated for years, with Buckingham previously expressing to Rolling Stone the desire to bring the album back. The decision to finally reissue "Buckingham Nicks" has excited fans and reignited interest in the duo's early work.
