Lynyrd Skynyrd Announces 2026 Tour With Foreigner and Fall Headlining Shows

Lynyrd Skynyrd plans a busy year with a summer tour alongside Foreigner and a series of headlining shows in the fall.
The second leg of the tour starts Sept. 3 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and runs through Oct. 4 in Highland, California. Tickets are on sale. Details about shows and VIP packages are available at the band's official website.
Before the fall dates, Lynyrd Skynyrd joins Foreigner for the Double Trouble Double Vision tour. Lead singer Johnny Van Zant said the band enjoyed sharing the stage with Foreigner in the past during a Canadian tour.
"We were out with ZZ Top for a few years and wanted to try something different," Van Zant said. "My manager asked about Foreigner. Years ago, when Mick Jones and Lou Gramm were in the band, we did a Canadian run with them."
Van Zant recalled some doubts about how the two bands would fit together. "They do a lot of love songs. How's that going to work with 'Saturday Night Special' and 'Gimme Three Steps?' But the tour went great. We got along well, and the shows were strong."
He said the positive experience in Canada convinced him the pairing would work in the U.S. "Ticket sales have been good. We're looking forward to it. It's going to be a night of hits."
Fans can expect to hear Lynyrd Skynyrd's classic songs. Van Zant said his approach to touring has changed over the years.
"In the early days, I was drinking and partying. I'm not young anymore," he said. "Now I try to enjoy the moment, because things can change quickly. I don't want to look back and realize I don't remember it all. I want to soak it in. I'm usually the first one to bed and the first up in the morning."
Lynyrd Skynyrd will also play several headlining shows in July and appear at the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
