UPDATE: It appears fans will need to wait longer for the announcement.
Aerosmith is teasing a new announcement on social media, sharing a video featuring frontman Steven Tyler and longtime photographer Ross Halfin outside the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
In the clip, Tyler and Halfin stand by the venue's marquee as they place letters spelling out "Aerosmith & Friends," along with the dates Oct. 29 and Nov. 1.
"Don't you miss performing?" Halfin asks. Tyler responds, "Of all the things I ever missed, I missed my mind the most."
The video ends with a message that "all will be revealed" Tuesday at 10 a.m. EST.
Aerosmith last performed in concert at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, on Sept. 9, 2023. The band had planned a full "Peace Out" farewell tour, but canceled after three shows due to Tyler's vocal cord injury. The tour was postponed to 2024, but did not resume. In August 2024, Aerosmith announced their retirement from touring.
Since then, Tyler has made a few live appearances, including a Grammy watch party in February 2025, a San Francisco benefit with guitarist Joe Perry in May 2025, and a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne at the VMAs in September 2025. The band also released an EP with British singer Yungblud.
Guitarist Joe Perry said in a June 2025 SiriusXM interview that the band was discussing performing again. "We're talking about it," Perry said. "Except for anything on the calendar, we're all alive and well, so we'll just have to see. I know there's gotta be at least another Aerosmith gig, and I'm not looking forward to putting the set list together for that one."
The band's new video suggests that a reunion may finally be happening. What do you hope to see from Aerosmith if they return to the stage?
