Heart's Ann Wilson to Release New Album on Aug. 14

Ann Wilson will release a new album, "Consecrated Ground," with her band Tripsitter on Aug. 14.

The album marks Wilson's second studio project with Tripsitter. It features nine tracks described in a press release as a collection that blends heavy rock, psychedelia, blues, and raw, emotional storytelling.

The first single, "I Will Not Be Coming Back," is available to stream now.

Wilson is not currently on a traditional tour. She plans to travel later this year for events tied to her upcoming documentary, "In My Voice." The film, which debuted earlier this year, includes home movies, photos, and previously unseen clips from Wilson's personal archives.

Screenings will take place in several U.S. cities through early October. At each event, Wilson and director Barb Hall will hold a Q&A session.

"I'm something more than just that singer you see standing up there with the mic," Wilson told Good Morning America. "I wanted them to know about my life, my kids, my husband, everything."
