Eric Clapton Announces 2027 UK Concerts and 20th Anniversary Reissue of 'The Road to Escondido'

Eric Clapton will perform in Birmingham, England, on May 17, followed by four shows at London's Royal Albert Hall on May 20, 21, 23 and 24.

Clapton was scheduled to appear Oct. 1 at Radio City Music Hall in New York for Buddy Guy's 90th birthday concert but did not perform because of illness. No other concerts are scheduled before May 2027.

Clapton's "The Road to Escondido: Enhanced Edition" will be released Nov. 20, marking the 20th anniversary of the original album with J.J. Cale. The new edition includes three previously unreleased songs from the original sessions, three live tracks from "Live in San Diego," and new liner notes.

"People are unaware of how important he is in the tree of the musical history of the U.S. and the world, and the effect he's had on people, in a very subtle way, in the way they sing, play guitar and make records," Clapton said in a statement.
