George Lynch to Lead 'A Night of Dokken' Tour in 2027

Former Dokken guitarist George Lynch will headline a new tour in 2027, performing Dokken songs with an all-star band. The tour, called "On the Rise of Decades: Performing a Night of Dokken," was announced this week on Lynch's Instagram page.

Lynch's band for the tour will include Brett Carlisle, who sings for Great White; Terry Ilous, founding member of XYZ and former Great White singer; Gabriel, current Lynch Mob vocalist; bassist Jaron Gulino; and drummer Brian Tichy, who has played with Whitesnake and Gene Simmons.

The tour is set to begin Dec. 31, 2026, in Fort Myers, Florida, and end Jan. 10 in Birmingham, Alabama. Ten dates have been announced so far, but venues have not yet been named. Lynch said more dates will be added soon.

Lynch played on Dokken's first six studio albums, from "Breakin' the Chains" in 1981 through "Shadowlife" in 1997. He left the group over creative and personal differences with singer Don Dokken.

Since leaving the band, Lynch has released more than a dozen albums, either as a solo artist or with Lynch Mob. He has also played in several supergroups, including T&N, The End Machine, KMX and Sweet & Lynch, often alongside former Dokken bandmate and current Foreigner bassist Jeff Pilson.

Lynch has made occasional guest appearances with Dokken since 2020, joining Don Dokken for encore performances at select shows.

"We're too old to bicker and fight, even though a couple years ago he went at it again with the lawsuits," Don Dokken said in 2025. "But that's in the past. So, we're both gray haired now."

After a farewell tour in 2025, Lynch Mob finished another run of tour dates with a show April 11 in Flint, Michigan.

"There was some momentum and some interest because of that [retirement] announcement," Lynch said in October 2025. "So all of a sudden my agent started getting all this work opportunity. He talked me, as agents do, out of quitting Lynch Mob touring. ... So here we are, we're still touring, we're still putting out records."
