Metallica Announces 'ReLoad' Box Set Packed with Unreleased Material and Collectibles

Metallica will release a limited-edition deluxe box set for their 1997 album ReLoad on June 26. This set arrives ahead of the album's 30th anniversary next year.

ReLoad (Remastered) will include a wide range of unreleased material. You will find demos, rough mixes, live recordings, videos, and more. If you are a long-time fan or a new listener, this release offers a deep look into the album's creation.

When ReLoad first came out on November 18, 1997, it followed the band's 1996 album Load. Both records came from the same recording sessions. ReLoad quickly reached No. 1 on the charts, marking Metallica's third time at the top. The album produced popular singles like "The Memory Remains," "The Unforgiven II," and "Fuel." Do you remember where you were when you first heard these tracks?

The new deluxe box set packs in a lot for collectors and fans. You get 15 CDs, including the remastered album, plus collections of riffs, demos, rough mixes, B-sides, rarities, and live tracks. There are also four DVDs filled with behind-the-scenes looks, in-studio moments, live performances, and TV appearances. You can watch the band's pop-up show in Philadelphia or see their trip to Seoul.

For memorabilia fans, the set offers Rorschach Test cards, a Gimme Fuel poster, stickers, guitar and bass picks, lyric sheets, and laminated tour passes. The deluxe 128-page book includes rare photos and stories from people who were there during the album's making. Do these extras make you feel closer to the band's creative process?

ReLoad (Remastered) will also be released in several other formats. You can choose from 2-LP vinyl, 3-CD, single-CD, cassette, or digital download versions.

Are you planning to revisit ReLoad when this set drops? If you missed the album the first time, this release could be your chance to experience it with fresh ears and new context. For fans who grew up with the original, do these extras spark memories or offer new insights?
