Universal Studios Unveils Ozzy Osbourne Haunted House for Halloween Horror Nights

Universal Studios will feature a haunted house inspired by Ozzy Osbourne at this year's Halloween Horror Nights in both Orlando and Hollywood.

The attraction draws on the music and imagery of Osbourne, who died earlier this year. Organizers say the haunted house takes visitors into a world influenced by Osbourne's lyrics, with scenes taken from his solo albums and signature visuals. According to Universal's website, the experience blends music and horror, inviting fans to "enter the Prince of Darkness's kingdom where music and mayhem collide."

The Osbourne family worked with Universal to develop the haunted house. "Ozzy never stopped pushing boundaries and he loved anything that gave fans a new way to experience his music and the worlds he created," the family said in a statement. "Walking through these haunted houses, you'll recognize so many moments inspired by his music and imagination."

Music from six of Osbourne's albums will be featured, including "Blizzard of Ozz," "Diary of a Madman," "Bark at the Moon," "No More Tears," "Scream," and "Ordinary Man."

A trailer for the attraction shows a carnival game branded with Osbourne's image, then cuts to a silhouette of Osbourne on a throne surrounded by bats. A voiceover instructs viewers to "bow before Ozzy Osbourne, the Prince of Darkness."

According to the Orange County Register, the Hollywood version of the haunted house will begin with a scene set in Osbourne's hometown of Birmingham, England, with "Crazy Train" guiding visitors through his childhood and leading to the Osbourne Asylum inspired by "Diary of a Madman." In Orlando, visitors will board the "Crazy Train" for a journey through scenes drawn from the "Diary of a Madman," "Bark at the Moon," "The Ultimate Sin," and "Black Rain" album covers.

Halloween Horror Nights has been a feature at Universal theme parks for 35 years. The event reimagines existing rides and adds new attractions with a Halloween theme. This year, Halloween Horror Nights runs on select nights from Aug. 28 through Nov. 1. Most nights begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available on the Universal Orlando and Universal Hollywood websites.
