Ozzfest will return in 2027 for the first time since 2018, with events planned in England, the United States and Mexico.
Organizers announced the first show will take place July 10 at the National Bowl in Milton Keynes, England. The festival will then move to the U.S., with a Sept. 11 date at Glen Helen Amphitheatre in San Bernardino, California. The final show is set for Sept. 18 at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City.
"Ozzy was the first to launch his own traveling metal festival," said Sharon Osbourne, Ozzfest co-founder. "Ozzfest will always remain an important part of Ozzy's legacy."
Early "Bat Tickets" for all three dates go on sale Friday, Nov. 6, at 10 a.m. local time. Organizers plan to announce full lineups for each location in the coming months.
Ozzfest launched in 1996 after Ozzy Osbourne was turned down by Lollapalooza. The event started as a two-day festival before becoming a touring festival in 1997. Ozzfest expanded to the U.K. in 1998.
The festival became known for featuring new and emerging metal bands, many of whom went on to headline arenas. Ozzy Osbourne performed at Ozzfest both as a solo artist and with Black Sabbath, but began playing only select dates after 2006. The festival stopped touring in 2013 and became a single-location event before ending in 2018 in Inglewood, California.
