Record Store Day 2026: Classic Rock Highlights from Robert Plant, Neil Young, John Lennon

Robert Plant, Neil Young and John Lennon are among the major classic rock artists featured in the top releases for Record Store Day 2026, set for April 18.

Plant will release a new studio EP, "Saving Grace: All That Glitters," produced specifically for Record Store Day. The EP, which continues the work from his recent "Saving Grace" album with Suzi Dian, includes four new tracks and will be limited to 3,500 copies.

Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts are set to release "The Live Album," available as a double LP on clear vinyl with an exclusive lyric poster. Only 6,900 copies will be available in the United States. Sean Ono Lennon has overseen "Love: Meditation Mixes," featuring nine reimagined versions of his father John Lennon's classic ballad "Love." This release is limited to 4,500 copies in the U.S.

Classic Rock Record Store Day Exclusives

Record Store Day releases fall into three categories: exclusives, RSD first, and limited or regional runs.

Among the exclusives are Alice Cooper's limited-edition picture disc of "The Revenge of Alice Cooper" and a series of three-inch Rolling Stones records, including "Get Off of My Cloud," "Honky Tonk Women," and "Play With Fire."

Other exclusive LPs include Black Sabbath's "Seventh Star," Foreigner's two-disc "Foreigner 4 Live Tour 1981-82," Grateful Dead's five-disc "Boston Music Hall, Boston, MA, 6/11/76," Tom Petty's "July 16, 1978: Paradise Theater, Boston, MA," Pink Floyd's four-disc "Live From the Los Angeles Sports Arena, April 26, 1975," Bruce Springsteen's five-disc "Live From Asbury Park 2024," and Van Halen's two-disc "Live in New Haven, CT 1986."

This year's compilation releases include "Rock and Roll Doctor: Lowell George Tribute Album," appearing on vinyl for the first time. The album features Bonnie Raitt, Randy Newman, Willie Nelson, Jackson Browne and others honoring the late Little Feat leader.

U.K. Record Store Day

Record Store Day in the United Kingdom also takes place April 18. Notable U.K. exclusives, some supporting the charity War Child, include Fleetwood Mac's "The Original Fleetwood Mac," the Cure's "Greatest Hits" and "Acoustic Hits," and "All the Roadrunning" from Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris.

One of the day's most unusual releases features Doors drummer John Densmore collaborating with Public Enemy's Chuck D as doPE. Their debut album, "No Country for Old Men," includes "Every Tick Tick Tick," named 2026's Record Store Day Song of the Year.
