Rush has postponed two more concerts on its Fifty Something reunion tour after lead singer Geddy Lee was diagnosed with laryngitis and bronchitis.
The band announced the postponement hours before their scheduled June 30 performance at Dixies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.
"We are deeply sorry to share that we must postpone our June 30 and July 2 shows," Rush said in a statement posted to social media. "Geddy has been diagnosed with laryngitis and bronchitis. After being evaluated by his doctors, he has been advised that he needs additional time to rest and recover before returning to the stage."
The band apologized to fans who had made travel plans, saying they did not make the decision lightly. "After more than 50 years of touring, we've always believed that if we're going to step on stage, we owe you the very best performance we can give-and right now, that simply isn't possible," the statement said.
The June 30 concert has been rescheduled for July 11. The July 2 show will now take place July 13. Rush said all previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new dates. Fans unable to attend can receive refunds at their point of purchase.
"Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and for always standing with us," the band said. "We look forward to seeing you in just a couple of weeks and appreciate your continued support while Geddy makes a full recovery."
This postponement follows another recent delay for Rush in Fort Worth. The band's June 24 show was pushed to July 2 due to travel and border-related delays. That concert has now been moved again due to Lee's illness.
Rush's Fifty Something tour began June 7 in Los Angeles. The reunion has drawn large crowds and positive reviews across the country.
