Skid Row Names Justin Sargent New Lead Singer, Announces 2027 Tour Dates

Skid Row has announced Justin Sargent as its new lead singer, unveiled a series of 2027 tour dates and released a cover of The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again" featuring its new lineup.
Sargent, a New Jersey native, was selected following an open audition process launched earlier this year. According to the band, members spent several months rehearsing and working with Sargent before officially naming him their new frontman.
Sargent replaces Erik Gr nwall, who left Skid Row in 2024 after two years with the group. Halestorm vocalist Lzzy Hale temporarily filled in for Gr nwall during several performances that year.
Skid Row co-founder and bassist Rachel Bolan said Sargent quickly established a connection with the band.
"Honestly, for me, it felt like he had been here from the beginning as soon as he walked in the room," Bolan said. "He was one of us. A lifer. Then he sang with so much power and conviction, it blew me away. It was amazing."
Guitarist Dave "Snake" Sabo also praised Sargent, saying his voice, attitude and demeanor matched what the band was seeking in a new singer.
Sargent said joining Skid Row is an opportunity he never expected.
"I've been singing Skid Row songs for years, but never imagined I'd actually be joining the band! It's an incredible honor to be part of something with such a legendary history," Sargent said.
"The chemistry and energy we've found together over the past several months has been amazing. I have tremendous respect for the band's legacy, but I'm even more excited about what lies ahead. I can't wait to get out there, connect with the fans and give them everything I've got. Let's go!"
The band also announced a series of 2027 performances, marking its first scheduled tour dates with Sargent as lead vocalist. The tour is set to begin March 5 in Rancho Mirage, California, and includes appearances at Welcome to Rockville in Daytona Beach, Florida, and Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio.
Ticket information has not yet been announced. Fans can visit the band's official website for updates and ticket availability.
Along with the announcement, Skid Row shared a recording of The Who's classic rock song "Won't Get Fooled Again." The cover marks the band's first release featuring Sargent and is scheduled to arrive on streaming platforms Friday, Oct. 30.
