Yes Reschedule 'Fragile' UK Tour for May 2027

LONDON - Yes have rescheduled their previously postponed UK "Fragile" tour, with new dates set for May 2027, the band announced Tuesday.

The progressive rock group had initially planned a nine-date tour for May 2026 to celebrate their classic 1971 album, "Fragile." These dates would have marked Yes's first UK performances in two years. However, the band postponed the tour earlier this month after guitarist Steve Howe required urgent surgery and time to recover.

In a statement, Howe said, "We're all now looking forward to the UK dates in 2027 and will be presenting all of 'Fragile,' in its entirety and much more. See you all then. After 'The Yes Album,' everything seemed to align. With Eddie Offord co-producing, and each of us contributing solo pieces, 'Fragile' became a bold statement of creativity. It was Bill Bruford's idea to include individual showcases-it was a bit oddball, but it captured the spirit of the time."

Tickets purchased for the original dates remain valid for the rescheduled shows. Tickets go on general sale at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 30, subject to booking fees. The band was unable to reschedule the Bournemouth show; those ticketholders will receive refunds. The York Barbican show on Saturday, May 15, is a newly added date.

Yes also announced a forthcoming album featuring new artwork by longtime cover artist Roger Dean and his daughter Freya Dean. The album includes eight tracks, plus two bonus tracks, and features a thirteen-minute piece titled "Counterpoint."

"Making this record was joyful, a chance to play, explore and give everything to the music," Howe said. "It's always been about collaboration. Somebody can write a song, but until everybody puts their contribution in, it isn't really a Yes song. We're not trying to echo the past; we're carrying the spirit of Yes forward and turning it into something new."
