READYROCKDEE REFLECTS ON A HISTORIC MOMENT AT FESTA 100% FAVELA IN SAO PAULO

Billboard Brasil highlighted the New York MC as the international guest for the 26th anniversary of one of Capao Redondo's longstanding cultural celebrations.
SEPTEMBER 16, 2026
Some moments become bigger after you have time to understand what they meant.
On September 5, ReadyRockDee stepped onto the stage at Festa 100% Favela in Capao Redondo, Sao Paulo, adding another defining chapter to the Culture Carrier journey.
The appearance brought the independent Yonkers MC into a celebration deeply rooted in Brazilian hip-hop, funk, community and favela culture.
Before the event, Billboard Brasil highlighted ReadyRockDee as the festival's international guest, alongside a lineup featuring prominent Brazilian artists including Duquesa, MC Daniel and Dexter.
But looking back now, the significance goes far beyond a headline.
This was Culture Carrier in real life.
FROM YONKERS TO CAPAO REDONDO
Thousands of miles separate Yonkers, New York and Capao Redondo, Sao Paulo.
Hip-hop made that distance feel much smaller.
ReadyRockDee arrived in Brasil with a mission that has become central to everything the Culture Carrier movement represents: build genuine relationships, respect the communities you enter and allow the culture to create connections that language alone cannot.
On September 5, that philosophy became reality.
There was no need to manufacture the moment.
The music connected.
The energy connected.
The people connected.
And another bridge between New York and Brasil was built through hip-hop.
"Breaking language barriers and building bridges through every element of hip-hop is my greatest passion." - ReadyRockDee
MORE THAN ANOTHER TOUR STOP
Festa 100% Favela celebrated its 26th anniversary under the theme:
"+ Respeito, + Alegria, + Amor."
More Respect. More Joy. More Love.
For ReadyRockDee, being invited into a celebration with that history carried a responsibility.
This wasn't about arriving in another country simply to perform.
It was about listening.
Learning.
Participating.
Showing respect.
And giving everything back once it was time to touch the stage.
ReadyRockDee prepared a performance specifically for the occasion, continuing a philosophy that every audience deserves its own experience rather than a duplicated version of the night before.
The result became one of the defining moments of this chapter of the Culture Carrier World Tour.
BILLBOARD BRASIL RECOGNITION
Before the performance ever happened, the moment was already receiving national attention.
Billboard Brasil published:
"Festa 100% Favela celebra 26 anos com Duquesa e convidado internacional."
The international artist highlighted in the story:
ReadyRockDee.
For an independent artist building without waiting for traditional industry permission, seeing the name ReadyRockDee recognized by Billboard Brasil represented another milestone.
But the headline was never the destination.
The relationship was.
The people were.
The experience was.
The opportunity to stand inside a community thousands of miles from home and discover that authentic hip-hop still speaks the same language was.
WHAT "CULTURE CARRIER" REALLY MEANS
Culture Carrier is bigger than an album title.
Bigger than merchandise.
Bigger than a tour.
It represents an approach to moving through the world.
Carry where you come from without disrespecting where you arrive.
Every city has its own history. Every community has its own voice. Every scene has people who built foundations long before an international artist arrived.
The responsibility of a Culture Carrier is not to enter those spaces and make them his own.
It is to respect what already exists, contribute something authentic and leave with a relationship stronger than the one that existed before.
That is exactly why Brasil has become such an important chapter in ReadyRockDee's journey.
NEW YORK x BRASIL
From Buenos Aires to Europe.
From New York back to Brasil.
From Sao Paulo to Recife, Curitiba and beyond.
The Culture Carrier World Tour continues to prove something ReadyRockDee has believed from the beginning:
You don't need permission to build something global.
You need the music.
You need consistency.
You need relationships.
You need respect.
And most importantly, you have to show up.
September 5 wasn't simply another date on a tour schedule.
It became proof of concept.
An independent artist from Yonkers, New York, standing on a stage in Capao Redondo, Sao Paulo, surrounded by a culture with its own history, language and identity, and finding common ground through hip-hop.
GRATITUDE
To everyone behind Festa 100% Favela who opened the doors to the Culture Carrier movement:
Obrigado.
To every artist who shared the stage.
To every person who welcomed the team.
To everyone who showed love before, during and after the performance.
To the people of Capao Redondo.
To Sao Paulo.
And to Brasil.
Thank you.
These are the moments that make the miles, flights, sacrifices and years of independent work worth it.
The goal was never simply to travel around the world performing music.
The goal was to build something that could live around the world.
September 5 was another reminder that the mission is working.
And we're only getting started.
