Flight simulation's largest community gathering will return to where it all began
The Flight Simulation Association has officially announced the dates and location for FlightSimExpo 2027. The next edition of the popular flight simulation convention will take place June 11-13, 2027, at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The announcement came as FlightSimExpo 2026 wrapped up this past weekend at the Saint Paul RiverCentre in Minnesota. The seventh annual event brought together flight sim enthusiasts, developers, content creators, real-world pilots, and aviation organizations from across the United States and around the world.
This year's convention featured more than 40 seminars and product announcements, 72 exhibitors, and thousands of attendees celebrating the continually growing world of home flight simulation.
"Keep spreading the word, keep sharing this experience with your friends," Flight Simulation Association co-founder Evan Reiter told attendees from the stage. He encouraged members of the community to help others understand the unique experience of attending FlightSimExpo in person and to continue supporting the event's growth.
FlightSimExpo 2026 Attendee Choice Awards
As the 2026 convention came to a close, organizers announced the winners of the annual FlightSimExpo Attendee Choice Awards.
Best #FSExpoFriday Announcement: SayIntentions.AI
Best Exhibit Booth: Grinnelli Designs
The winners were chosen through live polling conducted among FlightSimExpo attendees throughout the weekend.
The recognition for SayIntentions.AI follows another strong appearance by the company, which continues to expand its range of artificial intelligence-powered services for flight simulation. Grinnelli Designs received the award for Best Exhibit Booth following its presentation and interaction with attendees on the show floor.
FlightSimExpo Returns to Las Vegas
FlightSimExpo 2027 will mark the convention's third appearance in Las Vegas. The event was originally launched there in 2018 before traveling to other host cities, including Orlando, San Diego, Houston, and Saint Paul.
"FlightSimExpo was born in Las Vegas in 2018," said FlightSimExpo co-founder Phil Coyle. "We're excited to bring the show back to Las Vegas for the third time and look forward to working with the community to continue building our event together."
The Westgate Las Vegas offers convenient access to both the Las Vegas Monorail and the Vegas Loop. The hotel is also located a short rideshare or complimentary shuttle trip from the Las Vegas Strip.
FlightSimExpo attendees will have access to a special hotel rate of $169 per night, plus tax. The convention package includes recently renovated guest rooms, complimentary parking, and a $20 welcome drink coupon for overnight guests.
The discounted room rate and associated benefits will only be available to attendees who reserve their accommodations through the official booking link that will be published on the FlightSimExpo website.
Hotel reservations, airline discounts, and an initial event schedule are expected to become available during the fall of 2026. Tickets for FlightSimExpo 2027 are scheduled to go on sale in December.
Watch the FlightSimExpo 2026 Seminars Online
Flight simmers who were unable to attend this year's convention can still watch the seminars and presentations online.
Through August 31, 2026, FlightSimExpo Online access is available for a one-time price of $15. The package provides instant, ad-free access to the complete collection of FlightSimExpo 2026 seminar recordings.
The online library includes the major #FSExpoFriday announcements, along with presentations from the FSElite Stage, SayIntentions.AI Stage, and other convention sessions.
Access can be purchased at flightsimexpo.com/watch.
The Flight Simulation Community Continues to Grow
Since its launch in 2018, FlightSimExpo has welcomed more than 5,000 attendees to conventions held across the United States. The event has become an important meeting place for the flight simulation community, offering enthusiasts an opportunity to meet developers, try new products, attend educational seminars, and connect with fellow simmers.
FlightSimExpo is produced by the Flight Simulation Association, a community-driven organization made up of flight simulation developers, enthusiasts, and real-world pilots.
Sky Blue Radio congratulates the organizers, exhibitors, presenters, volunteers, and attendees who helped make FlightSimExpo 2026 another successful gathering. We are already looking forward to seeing the flight simulation community reunite under the bright lights of Las Vegas in June 2027.
