Four New Ways to Fly: Navigraph Launches Major Charts and Avionics Update

Navigraph has rolled out four major additions for Navigraph Unlimited subscribers, expanding the way flight simulation pilots plan routes, navigate across the globe and access real-world aviation data inside Microsoft Flight Simulator.

The update introduces expanded VFR chart coverage, oceanic tracks in Navigraph Charts, more frequent Jeppesen chart updates and a new Epic 2 avionics integration for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

Together, the four additions represent one of Navigraph's most wide-ranging updates of the year.

Expanded VFR Chart Coverage

Navigraph has expanded its VFR chart coverage into three new regions:

  • Brazil

  • Southeast Asia

  • The Middle East

The new coverage gives visual flight rules pilots access to additional real-world aviation information across areas that previously had more limited VFR chart support.

This is especially valuable for pilots who enjoy low-altitude touring, bush flying, general aviation and regional operations outside North America and Europe.

With the new regions included, pilots can use Navigraph Charts to better identify controlled airspace, airports, navigation points, terrain and other information needed when planning a VFR flight.

For virtual pilots looking to explore Brazil's enormous landscape, the islands and coastlines of Southeast Asia or the varied terrain of the Middle East, the world map just became considerably more useful. Navigraph officially added the new regions on July 1, 2026.

Oceanic Tracks Arrive in Navigraph Charts

Long-haul pilots also received a major new planning tool with the arrival of oceanic tracks inside Navigraph Charts.

Oceanic routes are used to organize aircraft crossing large areas where traditional radar coverage may be limited or unavailable. These tracks are adjusted regularly to account for factors such as winds, traffic demand and operational conditions.

Navigraph Charts can now display current track systems used across the North Atlantic and Pacific regions, helping pilots plan more realistic long-distance flights.

Instead of manually locating track information elsewhere and entering it into a route, pilots can now view oceanic track structures directly alongside their flight plan and other chart information.

For anyone operating overnight across the Atlantic or making a Pacific crossing, this adds another layer of real-world airline planning to the simulator.

More Frequent Jeppesen Chart Updates

Navigraph is also increasing the frequency of its Jeppesen chart updates.

Traditionally, Navigraph chart releases have closely followed the standard 28-day AIRAC cycle. Under the new system, chart revisions can be delivered weekly, allowing changes issued between AIRAC cycles to reach subscribers sooner.

This does not mean every airport chart will change each week. Charts are revised when updated operational information becomes available.

However, when Jeppesen publishes an important change between normal AIRAC releases, Navigraph will now be able to make that updated chart available more quickly.

For simulator pilots trying to reproduce current airline procedures as accurately as possible, fresher charts mean fewer situations where a procedure, frequency or airport detail has changed in the real world but has not yet appeared in the simulator environment.

Epic 2 Avionics Integration for MSFS 2024

The fourth addition brings Navigraph Charts and SimBrief directly into aircraft using the Epic 2 avionics system in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

The new Epic 2 Avionics Plugin allows supported aircraft to access Navigraph and SimBrief features from inside the cockpit displays.

Pilots can import SimBrief flight plans, browse Jeppesen charts and use Navigraph tools without repeatedly switching to a separate browser, tablet or external application.

The integration initially supports aircraft equipped with the Epic 2 system, including compatible versions of the Pilatus PC-12 and PC-24 in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

The plugin is available through Navigraph Hub and requires an active Navigraph Unlimited subscription.

Where the New Features Are Available

The latest Navigraph Charts update is currently available through:

  • Navigraph Charts for iOS

  • Navigraph Charts for Android

  • The Charts In-Game Panel for MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024

  • The Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 EFB

  • Navigraph Charts Cloud

The Epic 2 Avionics Plugin is installed separately through Navigraph Hub.

Windows Desktop support for the updated Charts features is still being completed. Navigraph says that release is coming soon, although Windows users can access the new features immediately through Charts Cloud, the browser-based version of Navigraph Charts.

More Than a Routine Update

Each of these additions targets a different type of virtual pilot.

VFR pilots receive more territory to explore. Long-haul crews gain better tools for crossing the oceans. IFR pilots receive faster chart revisions. Epic 2 users can bring charts and SimBrief directly into their cockpit displays.

The result is a broader and more connected Navigraph experience built around real-world aviation data.

Whether the next flight is a low-level journey through Brazil, a North Atlantic crossing or a PC-12 operation from a remote airport, Navigraph Unlimited subscribers now have four new ways to plan it, navigate it and fly it.
