Navigraph Rolls Out New "Approach Bundle" for Charts

Navigraph has introduced a new Approach Bundle for its Charts app, adding three new tools aimed at making arrivals and approaches more intuitive for flight sim users. The update is available now for Navigraph Unlimited subscribers across desktop, tablet, and mobile versions of Charts.




At the heart of the new bundle are Approach Feathers, Extended Runway Centerlines, and a Measurement Tool. Together, these features are designed to improve situational awareness during one of the busiest phases of flight, giving sim pilots a more visual way to track alignment, spacing, and approach setup directly within the chart environment.




Approach Feathers provide a visual overlay for the final approach path, along with key information such as course, frequency, and identifier. This should make it easier for simmers to quickly understand what they're flying without constantly bouncing between different chart views. Extended Runway Centerlines add another layer of awareness by projecting runway alignment outward from the threshold, which can be especially useful when lining up visually or getting settled during vectoring. The new Measurement Tool lets users calculate distance and heading directly on the chart, making it handy for checking spacing, evaluating shortcuts, or dealing with last-minute routing changes.




Navigraph is also expanding Charts functionality with SayIntentions integration as an ATIS provider, allowing users to pull in updated ATIS information directly when selecting departure or arrival runways. Users can choose their preferred ATIS source in the app's settings.




This looks like another smart quality-of-life upgrade from Navigraph, especially for simmers who keep Charts open on a second screen or tablet during every flight. Instead of adding clutter, the new tools appear focused on making approaches cleaner, faster, and easier to interpret when workload starts to pile up in the virtual cockpit
