SayIntentions.AI Unveils 2026 Vision: "Unified Universe," Free Access & Multiplayer Magic

Today the flight-sim horizon got a major expansion as SayIntentions.AI revealed its grand roadmap for 2026 - highlighted by a bold strategy to knit together AI traffic, ATC, and multiplayer into what it's calling a Unified Universe, along with a new no-cost entry tier for virtual pilots.

For the past couple of years SayIntentions.AI has been known for its advanced AI-driven air traffic control and immersive simulation tools. But the company's first big update of the year, dubbed Vectors to Final, charts a course far beyond incremental upgrades. Founder Brian Shellabarger outlined ambitions to create a single synchronized online environment where AI handles traffic sequencing for every aircraft - human or injected - in real time, across the globe. If successful, this could blur the line between traditional simulator add-ons and a living, constantly evolving shared flight universe.

Free Tier Incoming
One of the biggest community wins is the announcement of an upcoming free access tier tentatively named SayIntentions Community. Slated to launch in the coming weeks or months, it offers pilots a way into the ecosystem without a subscription or credit card - including route boards, mission generation tools, and the new Groupie flight-management utility (more on that below). Voice ATC remains part of the paid tier due to ongoing server costs.

Groupie for Friends & Formations
Pilots who love flying with others will want to watch for Groupie, currently in alpha. This new feature simplifies group flights by automating coordination - join a shared session with friends, sync flight plans, time, and weather, and even enjoy a private frequency for voice comms separate from global traffic. Early access is open now via the SayIntentions Pilot Portal, with a wider release expected in roughly four to five weeks.

Beyond Human Networks
In reflecting on 2025, the team shared that since August the platform has reportedly hosted more simultaneous controlled pilots than all human-run networks combined (including VATSIM, IVAO, and PilotEdge). While this claim has stirred debate, it underscores the rapid adoption of AI-driven solutions among simmers who prefer automation or voice-free flying.

Looking Ahead: Emotional AI & Precision Goals
Looking further ahead, SayIntentions.AI teased Gen 3 voice technology - AI controllers that convey emotional context based on workload and environment - though this remains in development due to cost and stability barriers. On the technical side, the 2026 goals include pushing instruction accuracy toward a near-perfect 99.999% and expanding enforcement modes that demand precise readbacks from pilots.

Virtual aviators eager to explore what could become the next frontier of simulated skies should watch for these updates as they unfold - especially the free tier and group flight tools that may redefine how we connect in the friendly skies of Microsoft Flight Simulator and beyond.
