Cubs Lose to Reds - Jose Barrero hit a tiebreaking RBI single in Cincinnati''s three-run fifth inning, and the Reds stopped a five-game slide with an 8-5 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Sunday. It was the Reds'' highest scoring game since an 8-2 victory over Baltimore on July 30. Joel Kuhnel (2-1) pitched two scoreless innings for the win. White Sox Beat Tigers - OK, we''ll say it. With tongue firmly implanted in cheek. The Tigers have not won a baseball game since general manager Al Avila was fired. The seventh straight loss was incurred Sunday, the White Sox completing the three-game sweep at Guaranteed Rate Field with a 5-3 win. The strikeout bug has completely infested the Tigers'' bats.
