
Cubs Lose to Brewers - William Contreras hit a tiebreaking two-run single in Milwaukee's three-run eighth inning, and the Brewers beat the Chicago Cubs 3-1 on Saturday for the team's first win of the season. Brandon Woodruff pitched six sharp innings for Milwaukee, and Devin Williams worked a rocky ninth for the save. The Brewers lost 4-0 to the Cubs on Thursday on opening day. Dansby Swanson collected three more hits for Chicago, and Ian Happ homered. Justin Steele struck out eight in six innings. White Sox Lose to Astros - The Houston Astros are proving why they are the favorites to repeat as World Series champions. After a disappointing loss on Opening Day, the Astros have responded with two-straight wins. Saturday's game in which they won 6-4 showed that Houston has plenty of fight in them, even when their backs are against the wall. The Astros jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead in the first inning when Kyle Tucker singled scoring Jeremy Pe a and moved Yordan lvarez to third.
