White Sox Beat Royals in G1 - The White Sox scored five in the first inning off Kansas City starter Brady Singer and cruised to a 6-2 victory during Game 1 of a doubleheader Tuesday at Guaranteed Rate Field. Dylan Cease (7-7) earned the win, striking out eight and walking one over 5 1/3 innings of one-run ball. Singer struggled to find the strike zone in the first, throwing 36 pitches, but finished with 79 in total over 5 1/3 innings. White Sox Lose to Royals in G2 - Maikel Garc a hit a tiebreaking single in the seventh inning after Kansas City wasted a nine-run lead, and the Royals hung on to beat the Chicago White Sox 11-10 on Tuesday night for a doubleheader split. Chicago took the opener 6-2 as Dylan Cease won consecutive decisions for just the third time and the White Sox ended a strange run of losses when their pitchers struck out 14 or more, Chicago had been 0-11 this year. Cubs Lose to Rockies - Kris Bryant hit a go-ahead homer in the sixth inning and had three RBI against his former team, helping the Colorado Rockies beat the Chicago Cubs 6-4 on Tuesday night. El as D az had three hits for Colorado, which denied the Cubs a chance to gain ground on Philadelphia in the NL wild card.
