USA men's basketball delivered bigtime in their quarterfinal matchup Wednesday morning against Spain. Tied at halftime, USA outscored Spain by 14 in the second half to advance to the semifinals. Kevin Durant led the way in grand fashion, scoring 29 points on 10-of-17 shooting, including hitting on 4-of-7 attempts from deep.
It was a slower start for the U.S., but Durant got going in a big way. That was the difference in this one, as the team was able to withstand a 38-point performance from Spain's Ricky Rubio.
