A frightening situation unfolded at the Beverly Hills home of Rihanna over the weekend after multiple gunshots were fired at the property while the singer was inside.
According to police, the incident happened Sunday afternoon when 7 to 10 gunshots were fired toward Rihanna''s mansion. Authorities say at least one bullet struck the home and went through an exterior wall.
Thankfully, Rihanna was not injured, and no one inside the residence was harmed.
Investigators say the shots were allegedly fired from a vehicle parked across the street from the property. Neighbors reported hearing the gunfire and quickly called police, which led to a rapid response from authorities.
Police later arrested a 30-year-old woman in connection with the incident. Investigators believe she fired the shots from a white Tesla before leaving the area. Officers were able to locate the suspect shortly afterward and take her into custody.
At this time, the motive remains unclear. Authorities are reviewing neighborhood security footage and gathering additional evidence to determine exactly what happened and whether Rihanna was specifically targeted.
Rihanna purchased the Beverly Hills mansion in 2021 for approximately $13.8 million, located in a quiet and exclusive celebrity neighborhood.
The most important update: Rihanna is safe and the suspect is now in custody. Police say the investigation is ongoing and more details could be released as the case develops.
