Pinhead Gunpowder Pushes Forward with Their Latest Album Era
Pinhead Gunpowder is back in motion with a fresh burst of East Bay punk energy.
The longtime punk side project featuring Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong and Jason White, along with Aaron Cometbus and Bill Schneider, returned with Unt, the band's first full-length album after a 16-year gap.
The 14-song release was recorded in 2023 and released through 1-2-3-4 Go! Records, keeping the group's underground spirit fully intact. Instead of polished arena-rock production, Unt leans into short, fast, scrappy punk songs that stay true to the band's raw roots.
Now, Pinhead Gunpowder is also lining up a fall 2026 North American tour, taking this latest era from record shelves to live rooms. For longtime fans, it is a chance to hear the new material live while reconnecting with a band that has always lived a little outside the mainstream spotlight.
With Unt bringing the band back into the conversation and new tour dates on the horizon, Pinhead Gunpowder's latest chapter is officially rolling forward.
