New details have been released about the death of beloved actor Tim Curry, who died at age 80 on August 25.

Curry died at his Los Angeles home from coronary artery disease. His medical records also listed a previous stroke and kidney cancer as contributing conditions.

The actor had faced significant health challenges for more than a decade. Curry suffered a major stroke in 2012 that affected his mobility and led him to step away from most on-camera acting. Even after that health setback, he continued working through voice roles and occasionally appeared at conventions and other events to meet fans.
