Bodie Wins International Songwriting Competition's Grand Prize

Bodie, best known as the 2022 runner-up on NBC's The Voice, has made history by winning the grand prize in the International Songwriting Competition (ISC) for his song "whisper and the wind," co-written with Sajan Nauiyal and Wes Strunk. This marks the first time in ISC's 23-year history that the top honor has been awarded to an artist from the Christian music genre. The song was selected from over 14,000 entries representing 112 countries, standing out as the overall best across all genres. Following his rise to national attention, Bodie released his debut EP Happy to Be Here in 2024, with "whisper and the wind" reaching #36 on the Billboard Christian Airplay chart. In the ISC's Christian category, additional honors were awarded to standout artists. Terrian took first place with her track "No Body," followed by Josh Wilson's "Better" in second, and Jessej's "Then It Starts To Rain" in third. These placements reflect the growing impact and recognition of Christian music on a global stage, as faith-based artists continue to craft songs that resonate deeply with audiences worldwide. Bodie's Spring Tour is part of The Worship Road Trip series of tours sponsored by Worship Road Radio.
