The Ponce De Leon Beer Festival at The Shriner's Temple-Atlanta by who2knowwhere2go0, 15 Nov 2014 12:41 GMT The Shriner's Temple 400 Ponce De Leon Ave NE Atlanta, Ga 30308 HAPPENING TODAY 1-5P The Ponce de Leon Beer Festival will be bringing out all local breweries to focus on a variety of styles. We are looking at this festival to be focused on the beer lover and brewer. This festival came about to help the Shriner's raise money for the Children's Hospital but overall it was brought about by a few people who really love beer and enjoy the idea of focusing on beer styles. Because of the festival being located inside the beautiful Yaarab Temple located on Ponce de Leon Avenue, we decided to move forward with what was at our door step...Ponce de Leon. He was looking for the Fountain of Youth and this was a perfect way of approaching breweries. We wanted to focus on style and overall...styles are constantly changing. To stay in a youthful mindset breweries always come up with fresh ideas. We wanted to deliver this "youth" to the public. After approaching the breweries with the concept we were happy to see that they were on board and ready to engage in this idea. With this festival we look to accomplish bringing out these new styles to the public and enlighten people on styles of beer. We would also like to surprise the beer lovers out there with new brews that they have not experienced. For example, many breweries are making a one off beer not available to the public yet. We are trying to keep it in a more intimate feeling with only allowing 1500 people in at the door. We feel this will be able to give the attendees more room to move around and try each beer selection. TIX: The Ponce De Leon Beer Festival is #where2go via: 38478Happening today1-5!
