Try to avoid getting into debt. Start off with a less expensive camera and spend more money on your lens. Purchase insurance for your gear. Expensive camera does not make a great photographer. Like Jordan's does not make a great Basketball players. Purchase insurance for your studio. Learn your Camera inside and out. Read every page of your Camera manual. Learn how to move to Manual mode and get out of auto. Learn ISO, Shutter Speed and Aperture. Get it right in the camera and use Gimp, Corel Paintshop and Adobe Photoshop less. Slow down and think about your composition, location and subject. Don't be afraid to make mistakes. Make mistakes and learn from them. The pros make mistakes, but they don't show it. Purchase an External Hard drive to backup your photos. In 2007 I lost all of my photos when my Computer Hard Drive died. Find a mentor and don't expect then to teach you everything. Try to shoot something every week Don't expect everyone to like your work. I use to try to take photos for everyone. Look at people work that inspire you Avoid adding big ugly watermark and vignette to every photo. Always keep learning Feel free to share, like and comment. Tell me something you learn about Photography below in the comment section39986tips, photography, art,blogs/1-2015/39986-renaldocreative-tips--s.jpgThe Many Faces of African Queens and Princesses Projecthttp://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/renaldocreative-project-art-photography-1131441/features/blogs/renaldocreative-project-art-photography-1131441/Posted by renaldocreative0http://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/renaldocreative-project-art-photography-1131441/#commentsFri, 23 Jan 2015 03:12 GMTThe Many Faces of African Queens and Princesses is a photography project that aims to inspire women and children of African descent. Photo from the Mall, School Pictures, Cell Phone, Wal-Mart and other Retail store don't fit in your Portfolio book. If you're in Eastern North Carolina, Book your shoot with me today and start your portfolio http://renaldocreative.com/contact SAFETY Discuss bringing an Escort to the Photo Shoot with your Photographer or Avoid bringing escort to your Photo Shoot. When models bring an escort I normally put the escort to work. Only work with a photographer you trust. Ask for reference or testimonies. Escorts can get in the way and destroy the photo shoot. Also don't assume that a female Photographer is safer to work with than a male Photographer. Ask for reference or testimonies from female photographer. Male photographer got a bad rep from GWC Guy with Cameras. Normally fake photographer that don't care about Photography. Call the photographer before the shoot or meet in person. Keep in touch with the photographer and a family member. Until you get home safe.
