Seems so quiet and soft spoken but packs a very huge creative voice. I am so glad to have Alexei Shaun as my Featured Artist of the Week. She displays a strong hunger to be one of the top artists to set foot on the music scene. Coming from St. Louis, Alexei's music displays a mutlifacet sound that shows her true sense of uniqueness. Winter Tyme, a smooth tone with a solid harmony. This song remembers me of a rendition from the 90s' fallen angel Aaliyah. When the song starts, you hear harmonies that are warming and put you in connection with your self love. In the winter tyme, I know we just want to cuddle with someone that feels soft and cozy. Passion is the term used commonly by people who are hungry and determined to reach the unthinkable and strive beyond others imagination. As you know its always a pleasure to discover new music and feature them on my app. I have unique chances to come in contact with songs created by artist from the east coast region. Most of the time, the connection comes from one of my fellow fleet djs members, which is the case for this week's featured artist. I will like to feature hip hop/lyricist Sean Conn. I was roaming Instagram one late evening, which is when i discover so much music, his song "The highlight" was been played @funkFlex one of the hip hop dj pioneer's in New York. I was touched instantly and wanted to get this song to spin in my region. I wanted to be the first to spin it on my radio outlets in the midwest, so contacted the artist right away and got it emailed. When he sent it, I was impressed he was so fast and on is toes. Because of his gesture, I have been a supporter and want to add my networks to his music journey's. After a long fight of being a black men in a society that is designed to belittle and bully the black community, Darren "King D" Seals stood proud and strong for what he believed in. No man is wrong for their views or opinions. Especially if these views and opinions have a strong factual standings. He only spoke about situations that have a strong fact to support it. I am so numb about the death of my middle and high school graduating class mate. I refuse to shining lights on the negative that the media chose to show. The systematic approach of painting the picture of a black men mistakes or life decisions to survive seems to be the mean focus. Instead of all the good he tried to do for people. He was a revolutionary, activist, a proud man filled with knowledge. All the memories of us interacting were pleasant and will remain. If I had to chance I would hit him up like I normally do. I formed a bond with DOA, Ron Gee, Tank The Machine and King D that will not be forgotten. Straight of out the MW, Masi Da Team is a well rounded and very talented group. Each stage they touch they leave a very high powered impressions that stays with any first timer crowd goers. I have personally booked these artists for both St. Louis and Chicago events and was left feeling empowered because of the show and the presence this dope hip hop group from the MW. Masi Da Team is a actual team, who aren't afraid of investing in their craft. There's one leading lady in Masi and her name is Destinee Lynn, who has major singles on some of the hottest radio shows around the world including Chicago and her home town of Milwaukee. I was personally introduced to this multi-talented group as the past Blok Club DJs's Meet and Greet in Chicago by my fellow Blok Club DJ brother Dj Big Tank Beatz.
