21 Lil Harold and Rob49 make aggressive, steady, hip hop. They discuss gritty topics and they do so with an ominous, menacing flow. They compliment each other very well, and "Word on the Street" is a perfect testament to that. 21 Lil Harold's new single rides a simple yet hypnotic drum pattern. The rappers drop the sort of flexes you would expect, and the whole thing raps up in two and a half minutes. Nobody here is breaking the mold, and the song is all the better for it. Harold is up first. He handles the chorus and the first verse, which contains some of the meanest bars. "Tuck your jewelry (Uh-huh) then take your life (Life)," he spits. "My young n**ga gun you down, you ain't movin' right (Right). I'm ridin' through the town all day and night. Opps scared to come outside, runnin' for their life (F*ck)." It's sharp, to the point, and it sounds great with 21 Lil Harold's delivery. The same can be said for Rob49's guest appearance. Drake had an eventful Tuesday. He went into 2025 as the most popular yet polarizing rapper in the world. One of the big reasons why was the legal petition he filed against UMG and Spotify. He claimed they had conspired to boost the streaming numbers of Kendrick Lamar's iconic diss, "Not Like Us." Fans were very curious to see whether Drake would prove to be the victor. Nobody expected it to come to such a mild conclusion, though. The petition was removed on January 14. And Drake took to Instagram to his usual flexing. Drake decided to post two seemingly unrelated photos. The first was of fellow rapper Yung Lean, who was sitting front row at an NBA game. The second was a more classically "Drake-ish" photo. He posted up in front of a mirror and took a bathroom selfie. It wasn't quite duckface, but it was close. Drizzy didn't provide any caption for the Yung Lean photo. He did, however, provide a timely one for the selfie. Amidst all the drama between Jim Jones and Cam'ron, Drake decided to give a shout out to one of his favorite rap crews. "Dips forever," he wrote. It doesn't take a lot of reading between the lines there. The most interesting aspect of the rapper's recent IG posts, however, is lack of reference to the lawsuit. Drake did not address the fact that he met with UMG and Spotify shortly before recending his legal petition. He didn't mention that an agreement has been reached behind closed doors. A Beyhive contributor named Lori Goodwin claimed that the announcement is a concert. She claimed she signed up for a site that provided local updates on user's favorite artists. The announcement was pushed back, but Goodwin theorizes that the site forgot to turn off notifications after the delay." They [must've] had this scheduled and didn't turn it off," she wrote. Drake Withdraws Petition Against UMG And Spotify After Reaching Agreement

Drake has been scorned by most of the hip hop world for taking legal action against UMG and Spotify. The rapper filed a legal petition against the massive companies for allegedly "inflating" the numbers for Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us" diss. Drake claimed that UMG and Spotify conspired to make sure that the song topped the charts. The speculation has continued to be rampant, with regard to whether the 6 God had a case, or if he would be forced to go to court. Well, the legal saga came to a close on Tuesday. Drake withdrew the petition against UMG and Spotify on January 14. The rapper and his legal team sat down with the companies earlier in the day. The petition was withdraw in the state of New York, and it's been stated that there will not be "costs to any party" as a result. It's important to note, however, that the rapper filed a petition in both New York and Texas. The Texas petition is still active, and wasn't addressed by Drake's legal team. Not yet, at least. Drake's decision to withdraw the petition has surprised many and let to speculation as to why. Others, however, speculate that he did, and UMG and Spotify reached an agreement to save face. It has not been revealed what the true nature of the agreement was. It is surprising to see the legal proceeding come to an end so quickly. Drake made it seem as though he was not willing to back down against UMG and Spotify as recently as December. Spotify issued a statement refuting all the claims the rapper made against them. "The predicate of Petitioner's entire request for discovery from Spotify is false," the company stated. "Spotify and UMG have never had any such arrangement." Drake's legal quickly responded. They made it clear that they predicted Spotify's reaction and doubled down on their allegations. "It is not surprising that Spotify is trying to distance themselves from UMG's allegedly manipulative practices," they wrote. According to the New York femcee, her future ex-husband did purchase Christmas presents for his children separate from theirs, but didn't follow through for their three. She hopped on an X Spaces earlier today to spill the alleged tea to her fans. "Do you guys know that my kids didn't receive no Christmas gifts from somebody in particular?" she began. "Guess how many gifts did they buy for my kids? Zero! Zero." While she never explicitly says his name, it's pretty clear who she's talking about given how fractured their relationship has become.
