The 27-year-old fugitive - known on the streets as "Woo" - was one of ten men who escaped from the Orleans Justice Center. But long before the headlines... long before the convictions and escapes... He was a boy born into heartbreak. Let's rewind the clock. October 13, 1994. His grandmother - Kim Groves, a 32-year-old mother of three - was assassinated right outside her home in the Lower 9th Ward. She didn't die by accident. She was targeted. Kim had just reported a police officer - Len Davis - for beating a man in her neighborhood. Hours later, that same officer was caught on tape ordering her death like it was nothing. "Take that b*tch out." And they did. They shot Kim multiple times. Execution style. In front of her kids. She collapsed right there on Alabo Street, while her children screamed. And every year since... Someone still leaves flowers at the spot where she died. Because that wound? It never closed. Then, the streets claimed his brother, too. Another life gone. Another funeral.
