According to a complaint viewed by HipHopDX, a woman identified only as Jane Doe filed a lawsuit in Miami-Dade on July 11 accusing Gotti (real name Irving Domingo Lorenzo) of sexually assaulting and abusing her on several occasions from 2020 to 2022 in Saint Martin, Miami and Atlanta. The suit seeks a trial by jury. Among the accusations, Doe alleges Gotti coerced her into having sex with him as soon as they arrived to Saint Martin in 2020 - a trip they took just after meeting at a poker tournament. He threatened to send her home if she didn't, and "due to his power and influence in the music world, she complied," the suit reads. They then reportedly began dating for two years, during which Doe "suffered constant abuse." Amid the split, the suit alleges Gotti slandered her to his "vast social network in and around Los Angeles," leaving her fearful to leave home. "As a result of this sexually abusive relationship, Plaintiff has suffered severe emotional and psychological harm for which she had to be committed to a psychiatric ward," the lawsuit reads. "These injuries continue and affect Plaintiff to this day." 50 Cent was quick to share the news about his longtime nemesis to Instagram. With a screenshot of the report on Tuesday (July 16), Fif included a summary of the situation and added: "Oh no [eyes wide emoji] The legal fee's are gonna break his ass in half, he ain't got no money. Welp that all folks." 50 Cent seems to never miss an opportunity to poke fun at Irv Gotti. Back in 2023, the G-Unit mogul poked fun at Irv amid news that Nelly and Ashanti may be back "on again" after so many years apart. 50 shared a video of the pair sharing a steamy moment onstage at Tao Beach in Las Vegas in an Instagram post, next to a picture of Irv looking a little worse for wear - implying that the Murder Inc. co-founder was shell-shocked about the romantic reunion. "Man, somebody check on Irv Gotti ASAP!" he wrote in the photo. "Know he going through it right now." "HE WILL BE AIGHT [laughing face emojis]," he wrote in the caption. "I was in love wit her, and she just popped up with Nelly. LOL." Dame Dash Responds To Irv Gotti: 'I Worry About His Mental Health' RELATED NEWS DAME DASH RESPONDS TO IRV GOTTI: 'I WORRY ABOUT HIS MENTAL HEALTH' SEPTEMBER 30, 2023 50 Cent and Irv Gotti have been at odds since 1999, after Irv's longtime friend and artist Ja Rule was robbed for his chain at gunpoint in Southside Jamaica, Queens while he was filming a music video, allegedly by an associate of 50 Cent. "Ja saw me in a club with the kid who robbed him," Fif claimed in his 2005 biography From Pieces to Weight. "I went over to say, 'What's up' to Ja, and he acted like he had a problem with me. But I'm not the one who robbed him." Ja Rule has since confirmed the robbery took place, but he denies he ever saw 50 Cent with the robber.325350NEWS LIVE RADIONEWSblogs/7-2024/325350-news-live-radionews-s.jpgSOULJA BOY PILES MISERY ON DRAKE AFTER KENDRICK LAMAR 'DEFEAT': 'YOU DISAPPOINTED ME'https://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/livesideradio-news-live-radionews-1004347/features/blogs/livesideradio-news-live-radionews-1004347/Posted by livesideradio0https://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/livesideradio-news-live-radionews-1004347/#commentsWed, 17 Jul 2024 00:27 GMTSoulja Boy woke up with Drake's recent Kendrick Lamar battle on his mind, and proceeded to call out the OVO rapper for "disappointing" him. Rozay was performing at Ignite Music Festival in Vancouver on Sunday (June 30) when he played Kendrick's chart-topping diss track, which contains accusations that Drizzy is a pedophile. After coming off stage, with the song still playing, Rozay was confronted by a group of men who were seemingly angered by him playing the track on Drake's home soil. The two parties then exchanged words before one of the men sucker punched Ross in the face, leading to an all-out brawl that last for several minutes. Team OVO appeared the clear winners in the fight, which saw several of Ross' entourage beat up and knocked to the floor. The rapper himself largely avoided the scuffle after being initally punched. At the end of the melee, one of the MMG mogul's team was left lying unconscious on the grass and had to be carried away. The brothers, born Ronald and Brian Williams, were the guests of honor at the second annual YouTube Leaders & Legends Gala, which took place in LA on Thursday (June 27). Full-screen During the star-studded black tie event, the New Orleans moguls were given their flowers through speeches from YouTube's head of music, Lyor Cohen; BMI's vice president of creative Catherine Brewton; producer Polow Da Don; and Republic Records' chief executives Avery and Monte Lipman, who are also brothers, and who recognized the Williams brothers as mentors throughout their own careers. Others in attendance included 2 Chainz, LL Cool J, NLE Choppa, Saweetie, Queen Naija, Yo Gotti, Kevin Liles, and Quality Control co-founder Pierre "P" Thomas. Taking to the stage alongside his brother, Birdman used his acceptance speech to recall his and Slim's upbringing and the business impact Cash Money's legendary run had on the game, per Billboard. "Life wasn't easy for us; living in every project in New Orleans," he said. "I was a real lost youngster trying to find a way because I'd been in and out of homes, in and out of jail, jumped in the streets at 12 years old; at 14 years old, I was wearing two Rolexes. I met some youngsters and didn't want them to go my route, right? [Cash Money rapper] B.G. was hitting that route, and I saw that [Lil] Wayne looked like he was going that route too. " He continued: "I wanted to save their lives. My whole mission was to try to spare a life. And I needed help too because I was reckless. The only person that I respected enough to spare my life was my brother. And my way of saving their [B.G., Lil Wayne] lives was putting them in the studio. The studio was going to be the new streets. "But all due respect to Jay-Z, I remember when he said he retired and Wayne shot a video and said since the best rapper retired, I'm the best rapper alive. And a lot of sh-t changed for us from that moment. At the same time n-as were saying hip-hop is dead. And we're like honestly, what the f-k is they talking about? We ain't know nothing about that type of sh-t." Birdman concluded: "So we felt like this was our time to take over hip-hop. That's when the birth of Young Money came, Nicki and Drake came. We kind of held hip-hop down. We survived the warfare in New Orleans. Now we're surviving in life, and we did a great job at it. [When] we started, all I thought about was saving four lives, and we end up saving thousands of motherf-kers' lives. I give all gratitude to my brother, who was like my father, for saving my life." Slim, on the other hand, started out his address to the crowd by celebrating the three celebrated Cash Money alums who were on hand for the event. "They were in friendly competition with each other. We started off doing two songs and would end up doing five songs a night. They were there competing like a basketball player for real. But what really makes me so proud that they're going on in their careers with generational wealth, doing other things outside of music while keeping music going. "My brother and I went through a lot to get to this point. Someone once told me growing up that I ain't never going to be sh-t and ain't worth a quarter. But you've got to do better than that to break me down. I ain't breakable like that. It made me want to go hard and work hard, so I've got a few more quarters now. He then closed out with a bit of advice for the crowd: "Don't let no one tell you what you cannot do! You do your thing. That's the only way you're going to win. "I love y'all," Slim added after shout outs to Polow, Mannie Fresh, Juvenile, Jeezy, Turk and Wayne. "Ain't nobody else alive going to do what we've done - ever."322462NEWS LIVE RADIONEWSblogs/6-2024/322462-news-live-radionews-s.jpgDRAKE & KENDRICK LAMAR BEEF IS 'SO FRUSTRATING,' SAYS CAMILA CABELLOhttps://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/livesideradio-news-live-radionews-1317396/features/blogs/livesideradio-news-live-radionews-1317396/Posted by livesideradio0https://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/livesideradio-news-live-radionews-1317396/#commentsSun, 30 Jun 2024 17:18 GMTDrake and Kendrick Lamar's beef has been the basis for a great deal of contention, and Camila Cabello is among those who aren't all that impressed by the back-and-forth. In an interview with The Times of London that was published on Thursday (June 27), the former Fifth Harmony member talked about working with the 6 God and his ongoing feud with K.Dot. "He is such a delight," Cabello said. "It's so frustrating to see people talk about someone you know in a way that is negative. You're like, 'Dang, if only you guys could just have dinner or something.'" Drake has two guest spots on the 27-year-old's latest album C,XOXO, and it all traces back to the singer sending him a DM. "He's the fucking GOAT, so it felt like shooting for the stars," she told Billboard in May, before recalling the Instagram exchange with the Canadian superstar. "I showed him the album when I felt comfortable enough and he really liked it. [The feature] came out of a nontransactional place. He had this idea of a song called 'Hot Uptown,' and it just felt like I was in the city. I was in Miami." The track was finished in Turks & Caicos, following which Drizzy reportedly continued crooning over synths for two minutes - singing that was subsequently chopped up into an interlude titled "Uuugly." Taking place on June 30, Smith will premiere an as-yet-unknown new single exclusively at the ceremony. "From his start as a rapper to The Fresh Prince to being a box office king as one of the Bad Boys, Will Smith is truly a global icon, and we are honored to welcome him back to grace the BET Awards stage," Connie Orlando, EVP specials, music programming and music strategy at BET, said in a statement. Henson will host the awards for the third time, with confirmed performers for the night including GloRilla, Ice Spice, Latto, Lauryn Hill and Sexyy Red. Will Smith has been quietly making moves back into music in recent months. First, he made a surprise appearance during J Balvin's set at Coachella to perform his classic hit "Men in Black". Smith appeared wearing his black suit and sunglasses from the classic 1997 film of the same name for a rendition of the Grammy-winning hit. Over a hard-hitting, dancehall-flavored beat, Smith showcased his agility on the mic with different flows, while reminding listeners that he hasn't missed a beat since the days of Big Willie Style. "Back in this bitch like I never left/ The Devil came for me, should have worn a vest/ You thought I lost something, I ain't miss a step/ You want some old me? Say less," he raps. He continues: "I'm bad to the bone when I get it rocking/ I'm back in my zone, 'bout to get it popping/ Will still plugged in, yeah, it's pretty shocking/ Like a brand new Porsche, I got plenty options."321444NEWS LIVE RADIONEWSblogs/6-2024/321444-news-live-radionews-s.jpgGHOSTFACE KILLAH RECALLS JAY-Z REMINDING WU-TANG CLAN ABOUT BEING OWED $500https://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/livesideradio-news-live-radionews-283346/features/blogs/livesideradio-news-live-radionews-283346/Posted by livesideradio0https://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/livesideradio-news-live-radionews-283346/#commentsTue, 25 Jun 2024 16:24 GMTGhostface Killah has recalled the time JAY-Z reminded Wu-Tang Clan about the $500 dollars they owed him. The Staten Island legend stopped by Million Dollaz Worth of Game earlier this month and recalled the time Hova came calling for money he was owed. Reminiscing about the early days of Wu, Ghostface Killah began: "One time, RZA and [GZA] were telling me that Hov was on the list with us to do a show or whatever. We gave him some time ... Long story short, n-ggas ain't pay him the money. "You know how Hov is. He wait. A few years down the line, and bring it up to one of the n-ggas. Like, 'Yeah, remember that time you ain't really pay me?'" Pretty Toney and co-hosts Gillie Da Kid and Wallace Peeples then laughed about the now-billionaire never forgetting a debt. Last month, Ghost spoke with Rolling Stone about how he didn't think today's rappers knew about the art of storytelling. "I don't hear n-ggas doing storytelling no more, man," he said. "There might be Nas. You might still got [Slick] Rick out there doing it ... Raekwon, [GZA]. A lot of stuff be regular darts, regular raps. Everything with this new generation is about clubs." The hook of the classic song was sampled on Vultures 1 track "Good (Don't Die)," leading to the late singer's estate alleging copyright infringement. The matter has now reached a confidential settlement with the case being dismissed with prejudice. A settlement had been in the works for months after the song was removed from streaming platforms. It's not known if the settlement will allow it to return to services such as Spotify. According to the lawsuit, Kanye West applied to sample "I Feel Love" but was rejected by Summer's estate and Universal Music Group. Court documents show West attempted to get around the rejection by using an interpolation instead of a sample. This, the estate says, still counts as copyright infringement. Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign have not publicly commented on the lawsuit. Shortly after Vultures 1 dropped, Donna Summer's estate addressed the use of her signature song on the album: "Kanye West asked permission to use Donna Summer song, 'I Feel Love,' [but] he was denied. He changed the words, had someone re-sing it, or used AI but it's 'I Feel Love'...copyright infringement!" West had other sample problems on Vultures 1 after Ozzy Osbourne criticized him for using Black Sabbath's classic song "Iron Man" on the album. Kanye West would later remove the original "Iron Man" sample and change it to an interpolation of his My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy track "Hell of a Life," which was cleared to use the iconic hard rock song. Just before she was set to take the stage at the Hot 107.9 summer concert on Saturday (June 22), the rapper took to X (formerly Twitter) and shared a cake it the form of the poop emoji, with a message that read, "Holy shit, you're Headlining." She captioned the post, "Think I'm the shit , bitch?????," a direct reference to Ice Spice's single "Think U the Shit (Fart)," which fans have always taken to be a diss aimed at Latto. In turn, Latto struck back at Ice Spice on "Sunday Service" when she rapped: "Think I'm the shit, bitch, I know it, ho/ Jesus walked on water, I got ice boilin' though." The song includes other less obvious stabs at her contemporary including: "These bitches corny, soon as monkey see, then you know monkey do/ Do you rap or do you tweet?/ 'Cause I can't tell, get in the booth, bitch" and "I just want a one on one, don't know why she so nervous." In a statement to News 4 Jax, attorney Lewis Fusco said that the rising Jacksonville rapper had hosted a birthday party at an Airbnb in Tampa on Saturday (June 22), which was shut down due to the number of people in attendance. Foolio, born Charles Jones, took to his Instagram Stories hours before his death, and told followers that the party had been cut short by police officers who also "kicked them out" of the rental property. News 4 Jax reports that several social media posts had advertised the location of the party. Upon leaving the Airbnb, Fusco says that Foolio got a room at a nearby Holiday Inn, which is where he was killed. According to Tampa NBC affiliate WFLA, local police confirmed that the shooting took place around 4:40 a.m. on Sunday morning (June 23), in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn located on the corner of Fowler Avenue and McKinley Drive. "What we have learned, and this is early in the investigation, two cars were shot at," Tampa Police Department public information officer Jone Lewis told the station. In a press release, Lewis later wrote: "The victim in this morning's shooting is believed to be Charles Jones. Positive identification is pending confirmation from the Medical Examiner's Office." Three other individuals were taken to an area hospital with gunshot wounds, but are expected to survive their injuries. This is the fourth time Julio Foolio was the target of a shooting in as many years. Most recently, the rapper was shot at in the early hours of October 7, 2023. According to WTLV-TV, sources said his black Dodge Challenger was riddled with bullets and he was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were said to be "severe." Follio reportedly didn't cooperate with law enforcement regarding the shooting. However, a gruesome photo of what appears to be his foot with a bloody hole in the middle arch went viral online within days of the incident. Julio's family initially addressed the shooting on his Instagram Story, writing: "Keep Foolio, my son, in y'all prayers he was shot last night in his hating city." They later followed up with a positive update on his condition, sharing a photo of the rapper in hospital along with the caption: "Yall know he good," He was also the victim of gun violence back in 2021 when he claimed he dodged 100 shots by the grace of God. During an interview on Sirius XM's Flavor Of The Week that aired on Monday (June 17), he revealed that the series could be brought back to life after more than two decades of inactivity. "We finally got some traction with Warner Bros.," he told host Flavor Flav. "They have new leadership. My man Mike DeLuca, who used to be at New Line when I first started, when I first did the first Friday and Players Club and All About the Benjamins. Mike DeLuca was there, so now he's running Warner Bros." Additionally, the N.W.A alum also shared a recap of his talks with the studio. "It was like, 'Yo, what the fuck is going on with Friday? Man, let's get this back online,'" he continued. "And I was a little hot 'cause they had took so long because John Witherspoon passed away. Tiny passed away. A.J. Johnson passed away. Like, man, we keep losing people and y'all keep dicking around not doing the movie the way it need to be done. They want to do it, but the key is it gotta be done, or we shouldn't fuck with it. So they finally came to their senses." So far, the trilogy comprises Friday (1995), Next Friday (2000) and Friday After Next (2002). Last year, Cube revealed that Warner Bros. owns not only the name of the franchise he created but also the names of its characters. "You gotta use the same [intellectual property]," he stated. "Can't call it Saturday without using Craig and Day-Day. So it's the same thing, really." While vowing to continue fighting for its ownership, the LA legend made it clear that he's not interested in entering into a legal battle with his former studio partners. However, he did state that he will keep trying to "convince Warner Bros. that they're wrong." The 55-year-old rap veteran first confirmed that he was working on a fourth installment in the series during a late night interview back in 2017. However, that film has yet to materialize. This marks the first time a song of his has remained in the top slot of a chart for more than one cycle. Furthermore, it is also his first solo chart-topper in the region since 2005. The nostalgic joint has also topped the charts in Canada, Australia, Switzerland and Norway. Ye purchased the Southern California property back in 2021 for $57.3 million in the hope of remodeling the designs of famed Japanese architect Tadao Ando. In January, however, it was once again put up for sale after construction was halted in early 2023. The half-baked home is currently on the market for a reduced price of $39 million, which means the Chicago native is willing to accept a loss of $18.3 million should someone take the deal. As of now, the building does not have running water, electricity and walls. Last week, The New Yorker published a report on how the "Flashing Lights" hitmaker devalued the coastal gem in his attempt to give it a remix. Check out the video package below: Earlier this year, the property's exclusive real estate agent Jason Oppenheim spoke to The Wall Street Journal about the house, claiming that the "blank canvas" presents a "unique opportunity" to the right buyer. Contrarily, an expert told the publication that the buyer would have to sink an exorbitant amount of money to make the concrete hull livable again. Kanye West Reportedly On The Hook For $1M In Unpaid Property & Business Taxes RELATED NEWS KANYE WEST REPORTEDLY ON THE HOOK FOR $1M IN UNPAID PROPERTY & BUSINESS TAXES JANUARY 4, 2024 The Yeezy boss was sued by the construction site's former project manager last year following a disagreement over unusual demands. NBC News reported that 32-year-old Tony Saxon filed the lawsuit after he was fired for refusing to remove all of the windows and electricity from the property. West allegedly terminated his employment in late 2021 for not complying with his "dangerous" requests after two months of working together. "When Plaintiff refused to engage in unlawful conduct or to engage in activity that would further cause him physical injury, Mr. Ye responded: 'If you don't do what I say, you're not going to work for me, I'm not gonna be your friend anymore and you'll just see me on TV,'" the suit reads. The complaint also alleges that the 47-year-old told Saxon he would be "considered an enemy if he did not comply."319941NEWS LIVE RADIONEWSblogs/6-2024/319941-news-live-radionews-s.jpgBOOSIE BADAZZ REACTS TO LIL UZI VERT'S GENDER-BENDING MARC JACOBS AD CAMPAIGNhttps://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/livesideradio-news-live-radionews-544546/features/blogs/livesideradio-news-live-radionews-544546/Posted by livesideradio0https://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/livesideradio-news-live-radionews-544546/#commentsMon, 17 Jun 2024 22:18 GMTBoosie Badazz does not appear to be a fan of Lil Uzi Vert's new ad campaign with Marc Jacobs. Released on Friday (June 14), it features the rapper showing off the iconic brand's limited-edition 40th anniversary tote bag with what some might call effeminate poses. When The Shade Roomshared the images and clips to their page, the Baton Rouge MC hopped in the comments section and wrote "OMG [blushing emoji] WTF," as captured by XXL. Check out the ad below: Boosie Badazz has been vocal about Lil Uzi Vert's aesthetic choices in the past, previously condemning their choice to implant a $24 million pink gem into their forehead in 2021. "If you put a $24 million diamond on your forehead, you gotta have $250 million," he said in an interview. "I feel like if you didn't do that, that was a big waste. There's too many people's families who hurting to pull off shit like that if you ain't really living like that. Lil Uzi Vert Accused Of Owing Production Company Over $500K After Not Paying Tour Expenses RELATED NEWS LIL UZI VERT ACCUSED OF OWING PRODUCTION COMPANY OVER $500K AFTER NOT PAYING TOUR EXPENSES JUNE 16, 2024 "I don't know if he got it, but if it was that way, if you spend $24 million on your family, everyone in your family should basically be living like you. If he got a net worth of $20 million and you spend $24 million on a diamond, then you're in debt." More recently, Boosie Badazz had some words about Playboi Carti after the latter was pictured wearing something similar to a thong in February. Needless to say, the openly homophobic rapper wasn't impressed. "You saw the boy just put a thong on, bro," he said on Instagram Live. "He put a thong up his ass, bro. You mean to tell me a man can put a thong up his ass and not think about being a female? "Did you see him? With those piercings and put a thong up his ass? If you mean to tell me a man can put a thong up his ass and still feel like a man. Man, if you wore a thong, you thought about getting inserted." He continued: "Playboi Carti, who stuck a thong up his ass. See through. A thong up your ass. A string. He sagged it so you can see the thong penetrating his ass like a toothpick in the mouth. Y'all mean to tell me he did that and didn't feel like a woman? A see through thong up your ass. He want to be a woman." The Louisiana native then said that Carti must have been "jealous" of his ex-girlfriend Iggy Azalea, who he shares a child with. "He must have got jealous of his baby mama," he added. "Man, what's that girl name? White girl. Iggy. Iggy's ass is beautiful with a thong on. Did you get mad and go into competition? "Iggy is a bad bitch. How could you go from looking at Iggy in a thong to putting one on? That shit must have looked too good on Iggy. He said, 'Fuck that.'"319940NEWS LIVE RADIONEWSblogs/6-2024/319940-news-live-radionews-s.jpg
