The band announced Thursday that it will wrap up its 2026 tour with two shows at K-Arena in Yokohama, Japan, on Nov. 24 and 25. These concerts will mark the end of Iron Maiden's "Run for Your Lives" 50th anniversary world tour, which began in May 2025 and features material from the band's first nine albums, spanning from 1980's "Iron Maiden" to 1992's "Fear of the Dark." "These two shows will be extra special as they are the very last shows the band will play until at least 2028, as they take a well-earned break from being on the road for the whole of 2027," the band said in a news release announcing the Japanese dates. "We are very excited to be bringing this Run for Your Lives tour to Japan later this year," bassist Steve Harris said in a statement. "And even more so as we are ending the entire two-year world tour in Yokohama. I have always loved spending time in Japan, and we enjoy coming back whenever we can to play for our fans there. So it feels extra special for us to be sharing the final two nights of this incredible tour with you all in Japan. It's going to make it a truly memorable occasion for us all." The latter half of 2026 will be especially busy for Iron Maiden. The "Run for Your Lives" tour will resume in late May and continue through November, with stops in Europe, Asia, and North and South America. The European summer leg includes EddFest, a two-day music festival with curated fan experiences scheduled for July 10 and 11 in Knebworth, England. Iron Maiden will perform on the second night, alongside Mongolian folk-metal band The Hu, British group The Darkness, Australian rockers Airbourne, and Scottish rock/metal band The Almighty. The festival will also feature a museum walkthrough and Eddie-themed fairgrounds with games and rides. A new documentary, "Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition," is set for theatrical release on May 7, 2026. The band was also recently nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for the third time.388431roadhouse rock, iron maiden, tour, 2027blogs/2-2026/388431-roadhouse-rock-iron-s.jpg2Metallica to Launch Eight-Show Residency at Las Vegas' Sphere in Octoberhttps://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-metallica-las-vegas-1662462/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-metallica-las-vegas-1662462/Posted by rdhouserockusa0https://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-metallica-las-vegas-1662462/#commentsWed, 25 Feb 2026 14:09 GMTLAS VEGAS - After months of speculation, Metallica announced Wednesday that the band will headline an eight-show residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas this October. The residency, titled "Life Burns Faster," will continue the group's "No Repeat Weekend" tradition launched during the 2023 start of the M72 world tour. "This residency gives us another chance to reinvent how we interact with our fans in a live setting. We are beyond excited to share this with the world in six months, and way psyched to go next level."Metallica's M72 world tour, which began April 27, 2023, in Amsterdam, has drawn more than 4 million fans across Europe, North America, the Pacific Rim and the Middle East. The tour is set to continue this year, beginning May 9 at Olympic Stadium in Athens, Greece, and running through July 5 at London Stadium in London.Metallica's Sphere residency dates are set for Oct. 1, 3, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29 and 31.The Sphere, which opened in September 2023 with a residency by U2, features the world's highest-resolution LED display, wrapping around the audience for an immersive experience. The event featured performances from Guns N' Roses, Metallica, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Tool, Slayer, Tom Morello and others. The concert was an appropriate sendoff for Osbourne, who died less than three weeks later.During a recent appearance on the "Dumb Blonde" podcast, Sharon Osbourne said her late husband had been told he did not have long to live prior to the performance."Two weeks before the show, they said he could probably die, and he did," she said, according to a transcript published by Blabbermouth. "But he wanted to do it so bad. He needed it. And it's like, 'Whether I die in two weeks or I die in six months, I'm still dying. And I want to go my way.' And he did. He went like a rock star."Sharon Osbourne described the experience as "bittersweet.""Ozzy had sepsis earlier on last year. Very few people walk away from that without losing a limb or their life," she said. "As soon as he got sepsis, the kids and I knew it was time. When we went to England, he went into the hospital for a week. When he came out, they said, 'Ozzy, this could kill you.' And he said, 'I'm doing my show.' He went out like a king."Sharon Osbourne said her husband ended his life the way he lived - on his own terms."He went the way he wanted to go," she said. "It was so quick. And thank God. I knew when they were trying to revive him, I knew. I'm like, 'Don't. Don't do it. Leave him.' He was done. But again, he went out like a rock star."388394roadhouse rock, ozzy osbourne, tribute, legendblogs/2-2026/388394-roadhouse-rock-ozzy-s.jpg2Rush Extends Reunion Tour Into 2027 With New International Dateshttps://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-rush-2027-101362/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-rush-2027-101362/Posted by rdhouserockusa0https://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-rush-2027-101362/#commentsTue, 24 Feb 2026 05:00 GMTRush has announced new tour dates for 2027, extending their "Fifty Something" reunion tour into next year with additional concerts across South America, the United Kingdom and Europe. The newly announced dates begin Jan. 15 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and run through April 10 in Helsinki, Finland. I hope he comes out. It's never too late. We've got 100 shows, so he's welcome at any one of them," Cain said. "He didn't say no - leave it at that."However, Perry later addressed the rumors directly on his Facebook page, making it clear he will not be rejoining the band."I've been hearing these recent rumors, and I wanted to speak to you all directly," Perry wrote. "While I'm always grateful for the love people still have for Journey, the rumors about me rejoining the band are simply not true, and I want to gently put them to rest."I completely understand why people would hope for that. The music we created together means a great deal to me too. But I'm continuing to explore new creative work and really enjoy working on new music that reflects where I am today."Thank you for your continued support throughout the years. Your loyalty has never gone unnoticed, and I am forever humbly grateful."Perry first left Journey in 1987, then returned in 1995 for a reunion that ended after one album and without a tour.Journey's Final Frontier tour is scheduled to begin Feb. 28 in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Cain, who co-wrote many of the band's hits in the early 1980s, has announced he will leave the group at the end of the tour.388346roadhouse rock, journey, steve perry, not returning, farewell, final frontier, 2026blogs/2-2026/388346-roadhouse-rock-jour-s.jpg2Jonathan Cain Prepares for Final Tour With Journey, Releases New Faith-Based Musichttps://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-journey-jonathan-cain-476412/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-journey-jonathan-cain-476412/Posted by rdhouserockusa0https://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-journey-jonathan-cain-476412/#commentsThu, 19 Feb 2026 15:26 GMTAs Jonathan Cain prepares to close out his career with Journey on the band's planned two-year Final Frontier Tour, the keyboardist, guitarist and co-writer of many of Journey's biggest hits is releasing new music of his own.On Feb. 27, the day before the tour begins in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Cain will release "Only a Prayer Away," a six-song Christian EP. Cain told UCR the material was drawn from a larger batch of songs he wrote during a hiatus from the band."I had that year off (from Journey) and was doing ministry, and I was not going to do another one of these faith things, Christian worship pieces," Cain said in a Zoom interview from his home in Florida. "And then God wouldn't leave me alone. The songs kept coming - 'What about this? What about this?' I have a whole, full album, about 15 songs now. I decided to put six out, then I'll have another six, then maybe an album. Nobody has time to listen to 15 songs, anyway."Cain said the inspiration for this set of songs came from a disaster relief trip to Chimney Rock, North Carolina, which was devastated by Hurricane Helene in 2024. Cain was there with the CityServe Network and Paula White Ministries, led by his wife."We were watching the reconstruction of this town, people who lost just about everything," Cain said. "They were all working together, three feet of mud, nobody was whining or complaining or crying. It was all just, 'Let's get this done and support each other,' just an incredible attitude. I was like, 'This is a very moving moment,' and God was like, 'What are you gonna do about it? Write a song; I'll give you a title - 'Amen to the Rescue.' By the time we got home I had it finished."Cain said his faith-based music is a "labor of love" and central to his identity as a musician."I welcome it, because it's my creative juice. It's who I am as a person," he said. "If you looked at 'Faithfully,' it could be a worship song if you changed one word - 'Oh Lord, you stand by me/I stand by you, faithfully.' And God, I come to you with open arms, or 'Don't Stop Believin',' 'hold on to that holy spirit feeling.' Faith has always been a part of who I am, so it's not a stretch."Journey's Final Frontier TourJourney's Final Frontier Tour will feature a two-hour set, including the band's classic hits, deeper cuts from the early years, and songs from the "Infinity" album."It'll be an evening-with, a two-hour set," Cain said. "We'll hit all of our legacy songs and some of the later ones; instead of 90 minutes of greatest hits you'll get deep cuts from the beginnings of Journey, just kind of take 'em down memory lane, 'cause we have the time to do that."Despite past tensions within the band, especially between Cain and founding member Neal Schon, Cain said the group remains committed to delivering for fans."Over the years we go in different directions and we have different priorities," Cain said. "And when we come together as Journey it's a force. That's one thing we've always been able to do, is really deliver the music. The music of Journey belongs to the people. We're simply the caretakers. Even when I was with the Babys (opening for Journey), I watched and was like, 'Oh my goodness, they sure love these guys.' Any kind of junk between us shouldn't get in the way of that. When you get on stage it's all about their songs. They're coming and giving up their time to see you, so you want to be your best and deliver a great experience for them."Cain dismissed speculation about frontman Arnel Pineda's legal issues in the Philippines or Pineda's social media comments suggesting he might not participate in future tours."He's gonna be fine," Cain said. "He's a singing machine. He's got his kids coming out. He'll be great."Cain said the 60 dates currently announced, running through July 2, are just the beginning, with more shows to be announced through 2027.Cain's Final Tour With JourneyCain said he is serious about this being his last tour with Journey."I had a long time to contemplate what I wanted to do," he said. "It just feels like a good time to get off the train. I'm going to be 76 on Feb. 26; you've got to at some point say enough's enough. It's a grind, man. I just feel like this tour is a beautiful closing chapter. I want to focus on celebrating the music and the audience who stayed with us for generations."He added, "I'm just gonna say, 'Wow, what was a great ride.' I'm honored to be part of something with this legacy and prestige, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I helped build it, and it's time to move on."Cain said there are no plans for new Journey music during the tour. While Schon has stated that Journey will continue after Cain's departure, Cain said he does not know what the band will look like in the future. "Wait 'til that time and see," he said. "I just know that's it for me."Asked about the possibility of former frontman Steve Perry making an appearance on the tour, Cain said, "Neal already asked, and he says (Perry's) thinking about it. I hope he comes out. It's never too late. We've got 100 shows, so he's welcome at any one of them. He didn't say no - leave it at that."Plans Beyond JourneyAfter leaving Journey, Cain said he will focus on other projects, including more faith-based music and marketing his songs to churches for worship. He has also created a church-centric concert presentation and hopes to move into film scoring.Cain is also developing "The Gospel of Rock 'n' Roll," a talk show in which he interviews performers about their church roots and religious beliefs. Guests so far have included Michael Sweet of Stryper, Ricky Skaggs, Lee Brice, Larry Gatlin, Kid Rock and others."We're trying to show that all great performers and performances begin in the church and just how much that has influenced music over the years," Cain said. "They all say the same thing: 'My daddy got me up on worship, and that's where I got my chops.' So that's exciting, doing things, other side projects, like that."388326roadhouse rock, journey, jonathan cain, next chapter, farewell tourblogs/2-2026/388326-roadhouse-rock-jour-s.jpg2Bruce Springsteen Announces 2026 U.S. Tour 'in Defense of America'https://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-bruce-springsteen-tour-37162/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-bruce-springsteen-tour-37162/Posted by rdhouserockusa0https://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-bruce-springsteen-tour-37162/#commentsWed, 18 Feb 2026 05:00 GMTBruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will launch a 20-date U.S. arena tour less than a year after their European run. Right now I'm in a phase of really feeling like creating some new songs. And I've got songs going on," Wilson said. "But I feel like this is the perfect time for Heart - this year, next year - to make a victory lap out of our legacy. So I figure we need to make one more Heart album."Wilson praised Heart's current lineup, which includes members of Ann Wilson's solo band, Tripsitter."Especially with these players that we have in the lineup right now in this band, we're just really excited to play together, and there's no limits on what we could pull off as musicians," she said. "So I've got a few songs, and Ann's working with those guys in her side band right now writing other songs. But I think I'm gonna want to make the last Heart album and do the victory lap and make 2027 mainly about the Heart film, the Heart documentary."A Heart biopic, reportedly in development for several years, is now close to fruition, according to Wilson. She said the project has some notable names attached."We've got a big movie, and we've got a final draft soon to read that Carrie Brownstein - who did 'Portlandia' and is known for her work with Sleater-Kinney - is working on," Wilson said. "And we've been working mainly with her. And it's so weird too, because you kind of have to go, well, OK, who would be the actor that plays you?"Wilson suggested Elle Fanning as a candidate to portray her and said Florence Pugh could play Ann Wilson.Despite her enthusiasm for making new music, Wilson said touring has become "entirely exhausting." Heart is scheduled to launch the 2026 leg of its Royal Flush tour on Sunday. When asked whether the idea of a "victory lap" felt strange, Wilson responded, "Kind of, but then as the grandchildren start arriving? Not as crazy to think about doing less of the big rock tour. I mean, it's entirely exhausting to do that travel. And when you're not quite as young and rubbery as you always were, going through almost 50 years of doing that, you really get paid for the travel on those rock tours."The show itself is the thrill - the million thrills and the glory and that magic thing," Wilson said. "I would do that for free, and I probably will end up doing music somehow for as long as I can live. But the tour part, it's really rough on you."388270roadhouse rock, heart, victory lap, fifty years, planningblogs/2-2026/388270-roadhouse-rock-hear-s.jpg2Winger Announces 2026 Shows After Previously Signaling Farewellhttps://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-winger-shows-1764452/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-winger-shows-1764452/Posted by rdhouserockusa0https://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-winger-shows-1764452/#commentsTue, 17 Feb 2026 10:51 GMTAfter what were believed to be their final performances last year, rock band Winger has announced a handful of tour dates for 2026.Drummer Rod Morgenstein discussed the group's decision to continue performing during a recent episode of "The Classic Metal Show." He described 2023 as a difficult year after the band initially ended its run."Last year turned out to be a very rough year emotionally for me because I didn't realize how much my life and my vision of who I am is tied up in my band," Morgenstein told host Chris Akin. "A lot of musicians understand that, but a lot don't really until it hits them in the face."Morgenstein, who previously played with the Dixie Dregs before joining Winger, said the decision to slow down was largely due to the physical demands on lead singer and bassist Kip Winger, who is known for his high vocal range."We've been talking about the end of the band for years," Morgenstein said. "When the band formed, Kip, Reb [Beach, guitarist] and Paul [Taylor, keyboardist] were in their twenties, and I was in my thirties. Back then, singing in the stratosphere was no problem. Nearly 40 years later, it becomes an issue for every singer."Despite these challenges, Morgenstein said the band never officially announced a final show."We knew it was coming," he said. "At the last concert, instead of saying, 'This is the last show. You'll never see Winger again,' we said, 'Never say never. Circumstances change.' Sure enough, we have four shows on the books this year-a festival in Brazil and a festival in Cancun."Kip Winger has previously addressed the band's uncertain future and expressed reluctance to declare a definitive end, referencing other bands' extended farewells."At some point I'm going to play a final show with the band," Winger said in March 2023. "I don't know when it is. But that's not to say I might not do a cruise or something. I'm not saying, 'Hey, this is the last show we're ever going to do,' because, well, Kiss did it for 10 years."Winger, who has focused more on classical music in recent years, also noted he will not miss the rigors of touring."The biggest thing is the traveling," Winger said. "If you do 40 gigs in a year-and sometimes we do more than that-you have twice that many days on each end traveling. You spend half the year sitting in an airport. We're not a huge band-we don't fly around in our own Learjet-so it takes a toll. All my personal goals just end up drifting away in an airport somewhere in Chicago. So my life will be different in that way."Winger released their most recent album, "Seven," in 2023. The band currently has two 2026 tour dates listed on its website: April 26 at Bangers Open Air in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Aug. 27 at the Devon Lakeshore Amphitheater in Decatur, Illinois.388269roadhouse rock, winger, shows, 2026blogs/2-2026/388269-roadhouse-rock-wing-s.jpg2The Black Keys Announce "Peaches 'n Cream World Tour"https://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-edge-black-keys-1226432/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-edge-black-keys-1226432/Posted by rdhouserockusa0https://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-edge-black-keys-1226432/#commentsThu, 12 Feb 2026 15:15 GMTThe Black Keys will launch their Peaches 'n Cream World Tour in April, with multiple-night engagements scheduled in Atlanta, Brooklyn and Nashville, among other cities.General ticket sales begin at 10 a.m. local time on Friday, Feb. 13. Fogerty was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2005.Fogerty was also inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1993 as a member of Creedence Clearwater Revival. He is the 12th person to be inducted into the Rock Hall as a performer and to receive the Mercer Award, joining Paul Simon, Billy Joel, Carole King, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Dolly Parton, Phil Collins (inducted with Genesis), Elton John, Van Morrison, Lionel Richie and Neil Diamond. As the songwriter, singer, lead guitarist, arranger and producer for Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fogerty's catalog includes classics such as "Proud Mary" and "Born on the Bayou." Three of his songs - "Fortunate Son," "Bad Moon Rising" and "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" - have each surpassed one billion streams. Two years after CCR's original, Ike & Tina Turner redefined "Proud Mary" with a soulful version that reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and won a Grammy Award.Fogerty topped the Billboard 200 with two Creedence Clearwater Revival albums, "Green River" (1969) and "Cosmo's Factory" (1970), and with his 1985 solo album, "Centerfield." The album's title track is the only song to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. CCR scored nine top 10 hits on the Hot 100, including five that reached No. 2, the most No. 2 hits without ever reaching No. 1 in chart history. Fogerty also landed a solo top 10 hit with "The Old Man Down the Road."Fogerty won his only Grammy Award in 1998 for best rock album for "Blue Moon Swamp." He has received eight career Grammy nominations, but never in a songwriting category. In 2021, he released his first original song in eight years, "Weeping in the Promised Land," a gospel-tinged reflection on the social and political climate.BMI has presented Fogerty with the Icon Award (2010), Board of Directors Award (2023) and Troubadour Award (2025). NAMM awarded him the Music for Life honor in 2023. Fogerty also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1998.In 2023, Fogerty regained the publishing rights to his songs after more than 50 years. In 2025, he released "Legacy: The Creedence Clearwater Revival Years," a 20-track collection produced by Fogerty and his son Shane, with executive production by his wife, Julie, featuring new versions of his most well-known songs. One of this year's Songwriters Hall of Fame inductees, Taylor Swift, also made headlines regaining control of her music, though in her case it was the masters, not the publishing rights. Swift, 36, will become the second-youngest SHOF inductee; Stevie Wonder was 32 when he was inducted in 1983.Other inductees this year are Walter Afanasieff; Terry Britten and Graham Lyle; Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of KISS; Kenny Loggins; Alanis Morissette; and Christopher "Tricky" Stewart.SHOF Chairman Nile Rodgers said in a statement, "The first time I heard Creedence Clearwater Revival, I was a mere high schooler. It was also the first time I heard John Fogerty's voice, one of the most distinctive ever. To this day I've never heard anyone else sound like him. His unique songwriting ability is another quality. He's one of those rare talents who is unmistakably himself. His style of composition is rock and roll mastery. It's what I've always personally believed in, something I call 'the art of complex simplicity.' He's done what I believe all great songwriters do. He makes us feel. He deserves this award as much as anyone who's ever received it, or will receive it, in the future. I send my congratulations to John Fogerty."388198roadhouse rock, john fogerty, award, songwriters hall of fame, johnny mercer awardblogs/2-2026/388198-roadhouse-rock-john-s.jpg2Don Henley: 2026 Likely Final Year for Eagleshttps://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-eagles-final-year-2012592/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-eagles-final-year-2012592/Posted by rdhouserockusa0https://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-eagles-final-year-2012592/#commentsTue, 10 Feb 2026 05:00 GMTDon Henley says 2026 will likely be the final year for the Eagles, both as a performing band and as a group, according to an interview aired Sunday on CBS News' "Sunday Morning."Henley, the only remaining founding member, told CBS, "I think this will probably be it," when asked about the band's future. The Eagles have spent much of the past decade on the road."I feel like we're getting toward the end, and that will be fine, too," Henley said. The Eagles have several performances scheduled for this year. When asked directly whether 2026 would mark the end of the Eagles, Henley responded, "I think so, yeah. And I am OK with that."Henley said he would like to spend more time with his family and pursue other interests, including gardening. "Because I would like to spend more time with my family, and I would like to spend more time growing vegetables," he said.He also mentioned a desire to travel more extensively. "We see the airports and the hotel room and the venue, and we don't get out much. I'd like to go back to the places I've been and see more of those places before it all disappears," Henley said."There are lots of things to do. I don't ever want to have a one-dimensional life," he added. "This is great, this is wonderful, but there are other things." Henley, who has four children and a grandchild, said he wants to spend more time with his family. The Eagles have discussed retirement before. The group originally disbanded in 1980, then reunited in 1994 for a new album and tour. Since then, the band has remained largely active, releasing a studio album in 2007 and touring periodically, including current farewell tours.Co-founder Glenn Frey died in 2016. Vince Gill has since joined the band for touring.Upcoming ShowsThe Eagles have nine remaining dates scheduled for 2026, with all but one at the Sphere in Las Vegas, where the band has been in residency since 2024. The announcement prompted messages of remembrance from fellow musicians who toured with Arnold during the band's rise in the early 2000s, when post-grunge and hard rock saw mainstream success.Brent Smith, frontman of Shinedown, was among the first to pay tribute publicly, sharing a video recalling how 3 Doors Down took his band on their first major tour in 2003."You guys were the first band that ever took us out on the road," Smith said. "Brad was always kind, always encouraging, and always real."Smith wrote in a separate post, "Thank you for the music. Thank you for the songs. Thank you for your love. Thank you for your friendship, and thank you for inspiring us all. May your light shine through all of time and space forever."Other tributes came from musicians including Alter Bridge, who wrote, "Thank you Brad, your friendship was one we will hold close forever. Until we meet again." Sevendust posted, "Rest now brother. Thank you for all you have given us."Creed issued a brief message: "Sending love to the Arnold and 3DD family." Black Stone Cherry remembered Arnold as an early supporter, writing, "Brad was always such a top notch, class act to us... Even before we were anything at all - he supported us."Mark Tremonti, guitarist for Creed and Alter Bridge, called Arnold "one of the kindest people I've ever had the privilege of calling my friend," and added, "It is absolutely heartbreaking to realize that you'll never get to perform or just have a laugh with a friend that you grew up with in the music industry."David Draiman of Disturbed wrote, "Brad was always a gentleman, a stellar musician, and a good man. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him."Producer Howard Benson, who worked with Arnold, said, "I will always cherish the time we spent together making music and talking about life. RIP Brad."Additional tributes were shared by artists including Seether, Adam Gontier of Three Days Grace, Staind and others.Arnold co-founded 3 Doors Down in Escatawpa, Mississippi, and gained national attention as the voice behind the band's 2000 breakout single "Kryptonite," which reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and helped propel the band's debut album, "The Better Life," to multi-platinum status. The future of Twisted Sister "will be determined in the next several weeks," according to a message posted to social media and signed by founding guitarists Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda. Snider, 70, suffers from degenerative arthritis, which has required multiple surgeries. The singer, known for his flamboyant stage presence, recently revealed that years of touring have also affected his heart. "A lifetime of legendarily aggressive performing has taken its toll on Dee Snider's body and soul," the band said in a statement posted to its website. "Unbeknownst to the public (until now), Snider suffers from degenerative arthritis and has had several surgeries over the years just to keep going, able to only perform a few songs at a time in pain." The statement continued: "Snider can no longer push the boundaries of rock 'n' roll fury like he has done for decades." Twisted Sister is best known for the 1984 single "We're Not Gonna Take It," which reached No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has become an enduring anthem. The song appeared on the band's third studio album, "Stay Hungry," which peaked at No. 15 on the Billboard 200. The band also charted with "I Wanna Rock" (No. 68, 1984) and a cover of the Shangri-Las' "Leader of the Pack" (No. 53, 1985). In a statement regarding his departure, Snider said: "I don't know of any other way to rock. The idea of slowing down is unacceptable to me. I'd rather walk away than be a shadow of my former self."388150roadhouse rock, twisted sister, dee snider, resignation, cancellationblogs/2-2026/388150-roadhouse-rock-twis-s.jpg2Record Store Day 2026: Classic Rock Highlights from Robert Plant, Neil Young, John Lennonhttps://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-records-record-store-day-1388142/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-records-record-store-day-1388142/Posted by rdhouserockusa0https://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-records-record-store-day-1388142/#commentsThu, 5 Feb 2026 15:20 GMTRobert Plant, Neil Young and John Lennon are among the major classic rock artists featured in the top releases for Record Store Day 2026, set for April 18.Plant will release a new studio EP, "Saving Grace: All That Glitters," produced specifically for Record Store Day. However, the legal dispute is ongoing. The Takin' It Back Tour began over the weekend in Canada, marking Cummings and Bachman's first performance together in decades. The concert came just days after former bandmates Jim Kale and Garry Peterson filed a lawsuit challenging the way Cummings regained the rights to the Guess Who name.Cummings, who has long been absent from the lineup, retained rights agreements to the band's most famous songs, including "These Eyes," "No Time" and "American Woman," which he co-wrote with Bachman. Cummings terminated those agreements, which prevented the existing lineup of the Guess Who from performing those songs on stage, leading to the cancellation of several scheduled shows.Following that decision, Cummings risked losing a significant source of income, as no one else was permitted to perform the songs. Royalties from concerts, television, movie placements and radio airplay stopped. This development led Peterson and Kale to negotiate. After the group's breakup in the mid-1970s, Kale had secured the rights to the name and was later joined by Peterson. However, neither regularly performed on stage. Cummings and Bachman called those performances fraudulent, asserting that no original members were involved. After a lengthy arbitration, Cummings and Bachman announced their return as the Guess Who.Peterson and Kale have now filed a complaint against BMI, the performing rights organization, claiming they lost millions of dollars when the long-standing agreement was terminated. They had spent months planning a U.S. tour as the Guess Who with booking agency BiCoastal Productions. According to the lawsuit, BMI's chief legal officer informed Peterson and Kale during a soundcheck that their rights agreement had been terminated "effective immediately."The group canceled that night's show and all remaining tour dates. Peterson and Kale argue that BMI should have given them more notice. "Contrary to BMI's misinformation, a copyright holder cannot simply provide notice of termination of rights effective immediately in such a manner that would force the cancellation of all concerts that had already been planned, organized and promoted," the lawsuit states.Randy Bachman co-founded the Guess Who in 1966, just before Cummings joined as lead singer. Bachman left in 1970 to form Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and the Guess Who disbanded in 1975. Cummings and Bachman reunited occasionally, but the group continued without them in the late 1980s.Kale, the original bassist, obtained rights to the band's name and was later joined by Peterson on drums. Kale retired in 2016, and Peterson stopped appearing at every concert. In 2023, Bachman and Cummings accused them of false advertising, alleging that some promotional materials used their images.Cummings and Bachman announced a Guess Who reunion tour in November, with support from former Eagles member Don Felder. The 12-city Canadian tour began in Niagara Falls and runs through August. The Guess Who is also scheduled to appear on the Rock Legends Cruise XIII departing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in February.Peterson and Kale's lawsuit against BMI includes allegations of fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, intentional interference with contractual relations and negligent misrepresentation. They are seeking millions of dollars in compensation and punitive damages, citing what they describe as "willful, oppressive, fraudulent and malicious" conduct by BMI.Their attorney, Michael Machat, said immediate terminations undermine the process. "In some cases, the venues had no time to find substitute acts and went dark," Machat said. "What happened doesn't make sense. With most contracts, particularly commercial contracts, you have to give notice."BMI issued a statement in response: "There is no merit to this lawsuit. BMI responded accurately and in accordance with the information provided to us by SOCAN, the foreign society that represents the copyright holders. We stand by our response."388126roadhouse rock, guess who, bachman, cummings, legal battleblogs/2-2026/388126-roadhouse-rock-gues-s.jpg2Tributes Pouring In For Chuck Negron, Founding Member of Three Dog Nighthttps://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-tributes-three-dog-night-1045492/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-tributes-three-dog-night-1045492/Posted by rdhouserockusa0https://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/rdhouserockusa-roadhouse-rock-tributes-three-dog-night-1045492/#commentsTue, 3 Feb 2026 15:26 GMTLOS ANGELES (AP) - Chuck Negron, a founding singer of the rock group Three Dog Night, died Monday at his home in Studio City, California. He was 83.According to a statement released by his family, Negron died surrounded by loved ones. A cause of death was not specified. The statement noted that Negron had lived with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) for several decades and had recently battled heart failure.Three Dog Night, formed in Los Angeles in 1967, is best known for hit singles including "Mama Told Me Not to Come," "Joy to the World" and "Black and White." The group featured a three-singer lineup of Negron, Danny Hutton and Cory Wells.Negron was born June 8, 1942, in the Bronx, New York, and began singing in doo-wop groups as a child. He performed lead vocals on several of Three Dog Night's biggest hits, including "Joy to the World," "One," "Old Fashioned Love Song" and "The Show Must Go On."Danny Hutton, the band's only remaining touring original member, wrote on Facebook: "I received the news today that my former bandmate from Three Dog Night, Chuck Negron, passed away peacefully at his home." Wells died in 2015.Negron was dismissed from the band in 1985 after a long struggle with substance abuse, which at one point left him homeless. He overcame his addictions in the early 1990s, a journey detailed in his 1999 memoir, "Three Dog Nightmare."After leaving the group, Negron launched a solo career, releasing seven albums, most recently "Negron Generations" in 2017. He stopped touring during the COVID-19 pandemic, which he described as "impossibly unsafe" due to his lung condition. In his tribute, Hutton added, "We rarely spoke and lost touch for much of that time. Five months ago, his wife Ami called to tell me he was very sick, and I decided I should go see him. When I arrived at his house, we hugged, cried, reminisced and shared many stories. In that moment, we realized how much time had been lost by not being in each other's lives. It was a beautiful and deeply meaningful reunion. I will always be grateful for the music we made together."388109roadhouse rock, tributes, three dog night, chuck negron, deathblogs/2-2026/388109-roadhouse-rock-trib-s.jpg23878071
