1. Why do you need my tax information? |
| U.S. law requires BlackVibes.com to collect tax information from Affiliates who are U.S. citizens, U.S. residents, or U.S. organizations and from certain non-U.S. individuals and entities. We are obligated to have this information on file in order to make payments. |
2. What tax information do you need from U.S. citizens, residents and organizations? |
We need a Tax ID Number, a Tax Registration Name, and a Tax Classification category for U.S. citizens, residents, and organizations.
If you are an individual, your Tax ID Number is your Social Security number, your Tax Registration Name is your name, and your Tax Classification category is "Individual."
If you represent a corporation, partnership, non-profit, or other type of organization, the Tax ID Number is the organization's IRS employer identification number (EIN), and the Tax Registration Name is the name of the organization. Select the Tax Classification category that best fits the organization.
If you represent a sole proprietorship, your Tax ID Number is either your Social Security number or the sole proprietorship's EIN. The Tax Registration name is your personal name, not the business name of the sole proprietorship.

3. I am not a U.S. citizen, U.S. tax resident or U.S. organization and I do not file any tax returns in the U.S. Am I required to provide you with tax information or fill out any U.S. tax forms such as the W-8ECI? |
| You are not required to provide us with tax information or any US tax forms, such as the W-8ECI, if you are not otherwise required to file any tax returns in the US. |
4. I am not a US citizen or resident, but my Web site is connected with a business I own that is taxable in the U.S. Where can I find Form W-8ECI? |
| If you are not a U.S. citizen or resident, but your business is taxable in the U.S., you must provide us with a completed U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Form W-8ECI. You can download Form W-8ECI from the IRS Web site at: www.irs.gov. |
5. Do you notify the IRS of the referral fees I earn? |
| If you earn more than $600 in a calendar year, we are legally required to file a 1099 form with the IRS that names you as an independent contractor who has received a taxable amount of income from us. |
