The mission of Excel HIGHER, Inc. has been ordered by God as recorded in Habakkuk 3:19, which reads as follows:
"The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds'
feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places..."
Excel HIGHER, Inc's belief is primarily derived from based on the book, "Hinds Feet in High Places" by Hannah Hurnard (Reissue Edition 2013, Destiny Publishers). We believe that In order to overcome negative life issues, you must make the decision to rise above and go higher than your problems; and though you make that decision, you understand that challenges will still come but with determination and faith, you can go higher and excel in life.
The following activities are representative of our assignments and appointments:
-Advocacy
-Mentoring
-Educational scholarships
-Resource Center for transitional services
(counseling, housing, employment, education)
-Training programs
-Finishing classes
-Group Activities
Excel HIGHER, Inc. will continue to expand its outreach as we enter our 2014 Capital Campaign to raise $1,000,000,000 toward the development and implementation of:
The "Excel HOUSE", which will offer housing for aged-out foster youth who are pursuing higher education; and
A fully licensed therapeutic and spiritual counseling center.
