DC Young Fly Pays Tribute To Jacky Oh In A Loving Message A Year After Her Passing

A year after DC Young Fly's girlfriend, Jacky Oh, passed away, the comedian reflected on her passing and his grief journey. He took to Instagram with a loving tribute, expressing how he is staying strong but misses her dearly.

Last year, BOSSIP reported the unexpected death of former Wild N' Out castmate Jaclyn Smith, aka Ms. Jacky Oh. In addition to starring in Wild N' Out, she was a partner to DC and a mother to their three young children. It shocked everyone, from fans to her loved ones, when the 33-year-old died from complications after plastic surgery.

To recognize the anniversary of his girlfriend, DC posted a picture of them together.

"#ThisS**tForEver 1 year already. S**t feel like yesterday!!! Being frustrated aint gon work cause its gon make yu more frustrated... yu jus gotta keep GOD first and jus stay positive and not lose focus... cause this s**t will have u all over the place... #NotAPostImTrynaGetUseTo ... jus wannna kiss yo dam faceee i love u mama," he wrote.

If you recall, DC and Jacky met on the set of Wild N' Out and began dating in 2015. They had their first daughter, Nova, in 2016. The couple announced baby #2, Nala, in 2020. Their youngest, Prince, was born in 2022.

Upon the news of her death in 2023, DC posted a tribute to her, stating, "You are the GREATEST MOTHER I KNOW your soul was beautiful. Yu always wanted the best for others and I admired how our family love each other!!! Never had to worry about our kids loving each other cause you were on top of Dat!!!"

Since Jacky Oh's passing, DC has spoken up about his grief journey and helping his children through this loss. Nevertheless, he continues to work and remain steadfast in his faith.

Authorities ruled Jacky Oh's death accidental with no further investigation into her passing.

Trump's Post-Conviction Speech: A Felon's Rambling Racist Rant Full Of Lies & Misdirection
Newspaper headlines the morning after Trump conviction

Anyone tapped into the political scene or even scrolling on social media couldn't miss Donald Trump's historic conviction. We knew he was a felon, but not even a guilty verdict for lying can get this man to tell the truth.

Source: The Washington Post / Getty

According to Politico, he responded in a bizarre, rambling 33-minute monologue from Trump Tower on Friday, May 31. Donald Trump's speech continued his legacy of misinformation and racist dog whistles following his conviction on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records.

This speech was a masterclass in deception, with Trump targeting President Biden, the justice system, and entire communities with his baseless claims.

The Trial Was "Rigged"? C'mon, Now...
This man is a convicted felon. Nonetheless, in his usual fashion, Trump painted himself as the ultimate victim, railing against what he called a "rigged" trial. He attacked the judge, calling him a "devil," and criticized the district attorney. "It's my honor to be doing this, but it's a really unpleasant thing, to be honest," he lamented.

Hillary Clinton on Trump in 2016: When he lost the Iowa caucuses, he said the Republican primary was rigged. When his fake university was sued for fraud, he said the courts were rigged. When he didn't get an Emmy for The Apprentice, he claimed the Emmys were rigged. pic.twitter.com/0mNtyqne9I

— Keith Boykin (@keithboykin) May 31, 2024

However, according to CNN, there is no evidence to support his claim that President Biden or the DOJ orchestrated the prosecution. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who prosecuted the case, is a locally elected official, and the grand jury's indictment was based on substantial evidence.

Racist Dog-Whistles: New York And The Congo
Trump's speech was not just a tirade against the legal system; it was also laced with racist undertones. He falsely claimed that New York City is experiencing record-high violent crime rates, stating, "You have violent crime all over this city at levels that nobody's ever seen before."

CNN states this claim is outright false. Violent crime in New York City has decreased dramatically since the 1990s. For example, murders in 2023 were down about 83% from their 1990 peak.

Doesn't Trump have shame in lying?

NOTE: He falsely claimed, "The Congo, Africa has just released a lot of people from jail
and brought them into the United States of America.

Trump is such a pathetic guy relying on lying to draw attention.

— Chan Philip (@ChanPhilip14) June 1, 2024

Trump also made baseless claims about immigration, asserting that the Congo has released prisoners and brought them to the US. This statement, according to experts and officials from both the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Republic of Congo, is entirely unfounded.

There is no evidence that Congolese prisons have been emptied, nor that ex-prisoners have been brought to the US.

The Numbers Don't Lie, But Trump Reportedly Did About Biden's Tax Policy
Source: Andrew Lichtenstein / Getty

Another central theme of Trump's speech was the economy. He falsely accused President Biden of wanting to quadruple Americans' taxes. However, analyses of Biden's budget proposals show that taxes would primarily increase for the highest-income taxpayers, with no tax hike for those earning under $400,000 per year.

Trump's 2017 tax plan, which he touted as beneficial for all, actually favored the wealthy while hitting most Americans' pockets. Households in the top 1% received an average tax cut of over $60,000, compared to less than $500 for households in the bottom 60%

The 2017 Tax Plan: A Windfall for the Wealthy
The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) highlights how the 2017 tax law was designed to benefit the rich. It cost $1.9 trillion over ten years and eroded the U.S. revenue base. Revenue as a share of GDP dropped from about 19.5% before the Bush tax cuts to 16.3% after the Trump tax cuts.

Making these tax cuts permanent would further deepen the deficit, costing an additional $350 billion annually from 2027.

34 felony convictions
54 pending criminal charges
2 impeachments
2 popular vote losses
$88M owed to E Jean Carroll
$450M owed for civil fraud
$8T added to nat'l debt
2.9M net loss of jobs

Is this what Trump meant when he promised "numbers like we've never seen"?

— Robert Reich (@RBReich) May 31, 2024

Despite promises that the corporate tax cuts would trickle down to workers, this has not been the case. The CBPP points out that workers below the 90th percentile saw no change in earnings from the corporate tax rate cut, while top executive salaries soared.

The 20% pass-through deduction, another feature of the tax law, disproportionately benefited wealthy business owners without significantly benefiting their workers.

The Real Impact On Everyday Americans
Trump's tax plan has not delivered the promised economic benefits. Instead, it has further widened the gap between the wealthy and everyone else.

If Donald Trump, a man CONVICTED of 34 FELONIES, can be President of the United States, the question 'Have you ever been convicted of a felony?' needs to be REMOVED from EVERY job application in America!

— Bishop Talbert Swan (@TalbertSwan) May 31, 2024

According to CBPP, the law created new tax advantages for the wealthy, such as a large, permanent cut in the corporate tax rate and a new 20% deduction for pass-through income. Meanwhile, the supposed benefits for lower and middle-income families have been minimal, with modest tax cuts that are dwarfed by the gains seen at the top.

The Facts Are Facts, And Social Media Is Not For The Lies

im sorry what do u mean despite being a convicted felon donald trump can still run and win the election???? u can't even vote as a convicted felon but u can BEEE PRESIDENT?

— Dulsè (@JadeDaGem) May 30, 2024

Online, social media users have been quick to point out the inconsistencies and falsehoods in Trump's speech. While some of his supporters continue to praise the stimulus checks that were part of his administration's economic relief efforts, many are beginning to see the larger picture. The benefits of the 2017 tax law overwhelmingly helped the rich get richer, leaving middle and lower-income families with the short end of the stick.

A Call For Course Correction
The expiration of these tax provisions is approaching in 2025. Policymakers have a crucial opportunity to correct course. Ending the tax cuts for those making over $400,000, raising more revenue from wealthy individuals and profitable corporations, and prioritizing investments in people and communities are essential steps.

The CBPP recommends extending and expanding tax provisions like the Child Tax Credit and the Earned Income Tax Credit to support low- and moderate-income families.

Regular Americans determined that Trump was guilty on all counts in his New York criminal trial.

And it'll be regular Americans this November who do their part again to ensure that we defeat Trump at the ballot box. pic.twitter.com/zwxs9DJwdP

— The Lincoln Project (@ProjectLincoln) June 1, 2024

Trump's post-verdict speech was a desperate attempt to deflect attention from his legal woes and failed policies. It's time for Americans to see through the lies and demand a tax system that works for everyone, not just the top 1%.

Trump posted today, "IF THIS CAN HAPPEN TO ME, IT CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE!" I'll remember that the next time I cheat on my third wife with a porn star and have to pay her off because I'm running for President. pic.twitter.com/HNMgQ6jMYk

— Bill Maher (@billmaher) June 1, 2024

Now, let's just hope this man won't STILL make it into office. Considering, Uncle Sam's terrible track record, it's hard to put anything past this system.

Pause On The Paws: Mike Tyson's Health Scare Postpones Fight With Jake Paul

The proposed July 20 fight night between boxing legend Mike Tyson and social media personality Jake Paul will have to wait.

— Netflix (@netflix) May 31, 2024

The showdown is expected to be a big draw for streaming giant Netflix. Unfortunately, Tyson's recent health concerns put the plans on pause.

"Unfortunately, Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will not face-off on July 20 as planned. Tyson's recent ulcer flare up has limited his ability to train fully for the next few weeks," the streamer said in a statement. "The fight will be rescheduled for a date later this year after Mike's able to resume training with no limitations and both fighters can have equal time to prepare for this once-in-a-lifetime matchup!"

Paul and the 57-year-old former heavyweight champion first confirmed the fight, scheduled to take place at the AT&T Stadium in Texas, back in March.

Now feeling 100% even though I don't need to be to beat Jake Paul.

— Mike Tyson (@MikeTyson) May 28, 2024

Since then, the pair have exchanged barbs via social media and continued to promote the fight that absolutely no one asked for. Paul, who turned his fifteen minutes of YouTube fame into a fighting career, has won nine of his last ten fights. He took to social media to break the news to his fans saying,

"Obviously devastating news. I'm heartbroken. Speechless. Gutted. We've been working so hard over here, everyone in this camp. I feel bad for everyone involved in this event. The whole undercut, this opportunity has been ripped from all of us. But I do value Mike's health, first and foremost," he said. "Love that guy. Have so much respect for him. I want Mike to be healthy.

Postponing the event with Mike Tyson... pic.twitter.com/TrtOc5sIce

— Jake Paul (@jakepaul) May 31, 2024

Though the camaraderie between the two seems to be that of two friendly competitors, Tyson still had little to say about the fight's postponement.

"Jake Paul, this may have bought you some time, but in the end you will still be knocked out and out of boxing for good."

Well, at least the blonde boxer sounds prepared to go out swinging. Netflix will likely provide a new date for the fight next month.

R.I.P. Michelle Obama's Mother Marian Robinson Passes Away At 86
US President Barack Obama waves alongsid

Marian Robinson, mother of former First Lady Michelle Obama, passed away on Friday at the age of 86.

Source: Mitchell Layton / Getty

Former President Barack Obama and Michelle announced the news on social media. "She passed peacefully this morning, and right now, none of us are quite sure how exactly we'll move on without her," the family announced in a statement.

My mom Marian Robinson was my rock, always there for whatever I needed. She was the same steady backstop for our entire family, and we are heartbroken to share she passed away today. We wanted to offer some reflections on her remarkable life: https://t.co/F7T6q625PC

— Michelle Obama (@MichelleObama) May 31, 2024

"My mom Marian Robinson was my rock, always there for whatever I needed. She was the same steady backstop for our entire family, and we are heartbroken to share she passed away today. We wanted to offer some reflections on her remarkable life," the grieving daughter wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

The former First Family's statement on Medium recalled the life, accomplishments, and enduring wisdom of the beloved White House fixture. Long before Robinson was President Obama's mother-in-law, she was born and raised on the segregated South Side of Chicago with six siblings. She fell in love with and married Fraser Robinson.

The couple raised their children, Craig and Michelle, in a smaller apartment in Chicago's South Shore neighborhood. Robinson worked many years as a secretary. However, she studied education and became her children's first teacher, ensuring they learned to read at an early age.

A post shared by Michelle Obama (@michelleobama)

She encouraged her children to reach for their wildest dreams, including Craig's basketball coaching career, Michelle's Ivy League aspirations to become a lawyer, and her son-in-law's long-shot political ambitions.

"At every step, as our families went down paths none of us could have predicted, she remained our refuge from the storm, keeping our feet on solid ground. On Election Night in 2008, when the news broke that Barack would soon shoulder the weight of the world, she was there, holding his hand," the statement said.

Source: SAUL LOEB / Getty

After the 2008 election, Robinson was the new First Family's "rock." She uprooted her life to move into the White House as a support system. Aside from meeting the Pope, she cared more about spoiling her grandchildren and befriending the staff than the parade of VIPs. Since then, she has returned home to her friends and family in Chicago.

A post shared by Michelle Obama (@michelleobama)

Signed by Michelle, Craig, Barack, Kelly, Avery, Leslie, Malia, Sasha, Austin, and Aaron, the touching tribute continued:

"As a mother, she was our backstop, a calm and nonjudgmental witness to our triumphs and stumbles. She was always, always there, welcoming us back home no matter how far we had journeyed, with that deep and abiding love.

For Barack and Kelly, she was the best mother-in-law anyone could hope for. We would tease her sometimes that she'd need to stop thinking that she was "imposing" on us because we always wanted to see more of her, not less.

As a grandmother, at every stage of their lives, from infancy through adulthood, she stood secondary watch over her grandchildren's growth and development, inspiring them, listening to them, telling them she was proud of them, making them feel loved, like they were remarkable in every way.

And as a sister, aunt, cousin, neighbor, and friend to so many, she was beloved beyond words by countless others whose lives were improved by her presence.

We will all miss her greatly, and we wish she were here to offer us some perspective, to mend our heavy hearts with a laugh and a dose of her wisdom.

Yet we are comforted by the understanding that she has returned to the embrace of her loving Fraser, that she's pulled up her TV tray next to his recliner, that they're clinking their highball glasses as she's catching him up with the stories about this wild, beautiful ride. She's missed him so.

"The whole world is full of little Craigs and little Michelles," she'd often remind us, underlining the beauty and potential within every child.

As always, she was right. What is also true - although she adamantly denied it - is that there was and will be only one Marian Robinson. In our sadness, we are lifted up by the extraordinary gift of her life. And we will spend the rest of ours trying to live up to her example."

Our condolences go out to the family and loved ones of Marian Lois Shields Robinson.

Social Media Explodes With Hilariously Petty Reactions To Donald Trump's Conviction On 34 Felony Cha

Source: Steven Hirsch-Pool/Getty Images

Social media is ABLAZE after Donald Trump made history as the first U.S. President to be convicted of a felony when he was found guilty on all 34 charges in his now-infamous hush money case.

The freshly-minted felon was found guilty of falsifying documents to cover up hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 election.

https://x.com/shoresems/status/1796504560288334313

Immediately following the verdict, Trump went full delulu while addressing the public (well, mostly his mouth-breathing supporters) in his latest unhinged rant in front of someone's camera.

"I am a very innocent man," he declared. "This was a disgrace," he said. "This was a rigged trial by a conflicted judge who was corrupt."

"The real verdict is going to be Nov. 5 by the people and they know what happened here and everybody knows what happened here," he continued.

— NBC News (@NBCNews) May 30, 2024

Judge Juan Merchan set sentencing for July 11 at 10 a.m. EST. Each of the 34 charges carry a sentence of 4 years in prison.

https://x.com/TIME/status/1796301768810233960

Trump will undoubtedly appeal the guilty verdict and attempt to delay sentencing well beyond the November 5 election. Additionally, the constitution does not bar felons from becoming POTUS.

President Biden reacted to Donald Trump's conviction for the first time on Friday, notably taking aim at those claiming the case was "rigged."

"That's how the American system of justice works, and it's reckless, it's dangerous, it's irresponsible for anyone to say this was rigged just because they don't like verdict," he said, per ABC News. "Our justice system has endured for nearly 250 years, and it literally is a cornerstone of America. Our justice system should be respected. We should never allow anyone to tear it down. It's as simple as that."

Based on recent polls, Trump and Biden, both 81, are running a tight race to Election Day with many sensible people wondering HOW the aspiring dictator is even allowed to run for President when convicted felons can't even vote.

Supermodel Stunner Chanel Ayan Talks #RHODubai Season Two, Her Cosmetics Line & Lesa Milan-'I'm Upse
The Real Housewives of Dubai

"Never ever, ever, be basic", those are the words of a ravishing Real Housewife of Dubai who's bringing that energy into season two.

Source: Bravo / Bravo

Chanel Ayan will be back on Bravo this Sunday, June 2, flashing her opulence and elegance amid some unfinished business in the oasis.

As previously reported the sophomore season of The Real Housewives Of Dubai will continue to follow Ayan as well as Caroline Stanbury, Caroline Brooks, Lesa Milan, Sara Al Madani, and newbie Taleen Marie as they hash out their issues and navigate a highly exclusive social scene.

Source: Bravo

Ayan is, of course, part of that scene as a supermodel and entrepreneur through her Ayan Beauty cosmetics line which she told BOSSIP was years in the making with a portion of the proceeds going to survivors of female genital mutilation or "fgm" like herself.

"Honestly, I grew up very, very poor, and as a young girl my mom was always sick, and I always had to be the one providing for the family, so I used to sell bananas in my head, trying to get money, try to hustle," said Ayan. "So I thought, you know what? I have this big platform, like as a model. I used to book models in Dubai and have an agency and I was like, I have this big platform, I need to do something big."

"I gotta be like Kyle Richards rich, she makes so much money in housewives [like] Bethenny Frankel...," she added."So I was like, what am I gonna do? I'm gonna start a makeup line because I love makeup, I love to dress up. I love to use makeup that is colorful," she added. "And then my business partner who I met 15 years ago, the first thing she wrote down about me was "She's dramatic, she talks too much, and she's funny."

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by A Y A N (@chanelayan)

She continued,

"So we started to come together and do a makeup line. The good thing about is that proceeds go to Fgm (female genital mutilation) which is something I'm affected by. And that's actually the reason that I started a makeup line to do good, and also to be really rich."

Elsewhere in the convo, the housewife and the activist dished on her (now distant) friendship with Lesa Milan. Milan recently told BOSSIP that she's hopeful that they can make amends despite seemingly feuding over Ayan's new ties to Caroline Stanbury, something Milan denies.

If it wasn't clear before, it's clear now - Lesa is not here for Ayan's friendship with Caroline #RHODubai pic.twitter.com/21jsEHkWwS

— Queens of Bravo (@queensofbravo) November 6, 2023

Ayan told BOSSIP's Managing Editor Dani Canada that Lesa has reached out to her and like her (ex?) bestie, she's hopeful that they can eventually get on the same page.

"She has texted, she has," said Ayan about Lesa Milan. "She has reached out, she reached out for my birthday for my son's birthday and we're not in a place where we used to be right now, because I'm upset. There was just so much love in our relationship like there was so much love. I just feel like I cannot be like, 'Hey, I'm done with you' and throw you away because you're like family to me. And you know, when you guys watch everything like plays out on the show as the season goes on, you guys get to see all of it, and it will make sense."

"It will make sense where we are right now. You get to see all of it."

Elsewhere in the conversation, Ayan talked about kicking it with fellow Black Bravo housewives including Porsha Williams, Kenya Moore, NeNe Leakes, Drew Sidora and Nneka Ihim, who she believes deserves another season on Potomac.

Netizens believe Cardi B and Bia are engulfed in a beef after Cardi dropped her remix to GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion's hit song "Wanna Be."

The alleged rap feud comes two months after the femcees traded insults at one another over X, formerly Twitter.

Speculation about the rap star's alleged feud soared across the social media platform on May 31, following the release of the remix to GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion's collaborative hit "Wanna Be" featuring Cardi.

On the three-minute trap anthem, the Bronx native seemingly took a jab at Bia, scolding her for their internet feud that popped off in March after fans accused the stars of copying each other's music.

"Guess I'm a teacher since you wanna sub me / She did what? Had no idea," Cardi rapped mocking Bia's rap cadence. "Thought she was on the shelf, IKEA / Hope she talk like that when I see her / B***h please, don't nobody wanna be ya."

"Cheap lookin' ass ho, weak lookin' ass ho/Great Value me lookin' ass ho," she continued. "Girl, these b***hes be p*ssy/Delete every tweet lookin' ass ho."

I'm not toxic I'm deadly ??

In early March, several internet users accused Bia of copying the "Bodak Yellow" emcee after a snippet of Missy Elliott and Timbaland's hit song "She's A B*tch" was featured in her viral freestyle "I'm That B***," which was also used in Cardi's "Like What (Freestyle)" shared at the top of the month.

Bia claimed that the allegations were downright "sick."

The tension between the two female rap standouts hit a boiling point when fans of Bia quickly scolded Cardi for allegedly ripping off elements of the Boston-bred artist's 2023 hit "Fallback" in the music video for her "Like What (Freestyle)," Hip-Hop Dx noted.

.... How is she using Cardi ? When Cardi doesn't have shit BIA can gain from ? Y'all think numbers and Grammys mean something. When Cardi's lyricism is fucking trash ?????? how sis out here free styling but had help WRITING IT. BIA doesn't need help picking up a pen.

People also alleged that Bia took a dig at Cardi on Dreezy's track "B*** Duh" by mocking her previously shedding tears on Instagram Live over Offset.

Bia sends shots at Cardi B on Dreezy's "Bitch Duh" Remix.

"How you say you running down but you can't walk on the beat?"

"I ain't know I had an OPP cause she don't say shit to me!"

"I could never turn my phone on just to cry.........on the LIVE!

Cardi took to social media out of self-defense to set the record straight, teasing an upcoming musical project, presumably her verse on the "Wanna Be" remix.

"B***s make a fool of themselves every single time [crying face emoji] .. ima show ya something when I release this song tho [winking face emoji]," she wrote on March 5.

Bitches make a fool of themselves every single time ??.. ima show ya something when I release this song tho ??

Bia wasted no time in addressing Cardi's apparent dig in her latest track, taking to X to air her thoughts.

A post shared by BIA ??? (@bia)

Mocking Cardi's lyrics from her "Like That (Freestyle)," BIA penned;

"B***S IS WACK. B***S IS TRASH. I SHOULD HANG B***S RIGHT OVER MY KNEE, THE WAY I BE PUTTIN MY BELT TO THEY A***."

BITCHS IS WACK. BITCHS IS TRASH.
I SHOULD HANG BITCHS RIGHT OVER MY KNEE, THE WAY I BE PUTTIN MY BELT TO THEY ASSSSSSSS ??????

— BIA (@BIABIA) May 31, 2024

She also defended herself against a Bardi Gang fan who called for her to retaliate with a diss track aimed at the Grammy Award-winning artist.

"B**** you don't want me in the booth I'm REALLY like that," BIA's post read.

Bitch you don't want me in the booth I'm REALLY like that ?????????????????????
